The companies of the United States are exceedingly good at competing internationally. They have excellent advertising and marketing skills and tend to be flexible enough to compete in any market. Take for example Sea Ray boating company; after expanding sales to the European market, they designed an entire new line of boats called Sedan Bridge boats, thereby forming to the demand of their new market.
Perhaps a better example would be the fast food chains, and in particular McDonald's. McDonald's is in every country I have ever been to. They are in Italy, Morocco, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, France, Spain, Turkey... and the list goes on. In each of these countires they offer something different, something that fits their customers. In Italy they have a pasta bar; in France a series of different breads to choose from. Greece and Turkey's McDonald's offers something like a gyro. They adapt to their surroundings. That is what makes US companies so good at international competition, their ability to adapt to the demands. Other factors are good customer service, marketing and advertising.
