It's a great idea... plenty of potential, here's a few suggestions:
1) Font is too small.
-> try something a bit bigger since your target audience are adults and partly of them would have a problem trying to read such small manual.
2) Color is not compatible with the focus of the site.
-> black is for hacker, personal or game sites. Being an information site and forum wishes more subtle colors.
3) The main page is a bit rough with too much cluttered info.
-> try to take more focused since people will receive confused on the main page as to where on earth to go.
4) Get a logo and formal cross or your own domain name.
-> a logo, entitle and a domain name add credibility. It also shows people you are serious within what you do.
5) Monetizing is not evil.
-> adding an classified ad or two won't hurt. If you can earn a bit for the maintenance and upgrade of the site, dance for it. Try text-based non-obstrusive ads close to G00GLE a.d.sense.
