First of all it sounds as if you are prayerful the guy. If this is an announcement/statement for a non-for-profit organizational event, most radio stations and newspapers will publish them for free. You inevitability to either email or fax reporters release to them. If it is someplace you've not sent press releases to before, give the name them first to find out their policy and procedure regarding that. If you email the announcement, adjectives you need to say-so is "find attached is announcement for PSA." And then tender your contact info in overnight case they have any question.

When you are doing a press release, keep it simple and to the point. Write it as though you be doing a news story keeping surrounded by mind the rules of the who, what, when, why in the first paragraph. Here is an example of how I did press releases for the group I work for:

Community News/PSA

Please include this information with your community events calendar and/or public service announcements. Your facilitate is greatly appreciated.

I need an example of false advertisement?

Answers: Activia yogart claimed it would regulate you digestive system, but then people came out saying there were no studies proving it actually does that.
Cell phone $99.00*, Originally $299.00, In-store or on-line rebate, $150.00, mail in rebate $50.00

*In fine fine print.. only with new 2 yr contract and up graded contract of $79.00 per month

This may not qualify as "false advertisement", but it sure is annoying and intended to deceive. It may get you in the store, which is all they want to do to begin with.

Also, stores will advertise a GREAT sale on a particular item, but when you get there, they don't have it. Sure they will offer you a rain check, however, I believe they are counting on you buying another product or products while you are there. It's called bate and switch.

All very sneaky and underhanded if you ask me.

Grocery stores do the same, Great price on an item, but the small print requires you to buy it in quantity.

There is so much deceit in advertising. Great price, with many exclusions. another for instance, hotel rates, additional charges MAY apply: such as Sales Tax, State Tax, Gratuity, housekeeping charges, phone, TV, cable, linens, how many times you flush the toilet...

yada yada yada
tax bait or rebate
telling the under informed americans that an extra 300$ -1200$ in their pockets will stimulate the economy is equal to telling someone that farting in a hurricane can change the speed or direction of the winds.
only thing it does is make u feel good and avoid the reality of the situation.
politics as usual.
