Answers: a.d.s.e.n.s.e will not compensate much if you don't have the right type of website. True, here are many a.d.s.e.n.s.e publishers who can't even earn $100 a month because:
- their site have little to no traffic
- their audience is not responsive to ads, hence they don't click
- the topic does not attract large paying keywords
- ads are not optimized
But if you've get the right traffic, I know of several publishers who earn $100 by 6 am EVERY DAY, earning $1000 or even more respectively day. Because they enjoy the right traffic, the right topic, right optimization of ads, and right audience.
It is best not to put adjectives your eggs in one picnic basket -- so if you think settle per play is the model that will work for your site, then progress for it
Personally if I visit a site that forces me to listen to something next I will kill the audio briskly and never return to the site.
You are probably not targetting profitable words on a.d.s.e.n.s.e and/or targetting words that have poor KEI so that you are not ranking capably in the flush engines
