Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

How do I acquire Myspace-type advertisers for my social network site? Are affiliate-program ad sufficient?

Hi. Is there a program that I should sign on to get the sort of ad that Myspace.com gets or what should I do? Right immediately, I'm affiliated with stores approaching Macy's and Amazon.com but will I make ample money with those affiliate programs or should I do a pay-per-click type of piece? And which pay-per-click program will make me the most money? (I know zilch is guaranteed but I guess I'm just looking for a moral reputable company to go near.) Thanks!

Answers: Affiliate ads solitary pay you when a user does the required deed the advertiser wants -- and next to Amazon or Macy's that means when someone buys from them through your site. That's call the pay per motion model

You also get salaried everytime the ad is view by a user, which I suspect is the model used by Myspace. This is called CPM or cost per thousand impressions ad. Say for example you are paid $5 per CPM, later if you serve 100,000 impressions, that means

100,000 / 1.000 = 1,000 x $5 = $500

you earn $500 from the solicit votes

There's another ad model call CPC or cost per click wherein you get remunerated only if the user clicks on the classified ad. If you say you will achieve paid 5 cents per click, next 1,000 clicks mean you earn $50

You can go the ads yourself -- but it is more difficult as you entail to know how to sell and hack it the ads yourself

But within are online ad agencies that you can go in that allow you to earn money via advertising. So you bring to show ads from big and small companies alike. The take in for questioning is that there's revenue sharing

Join an advertising gridiron. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that donate advertising space, and market banner ad (and other advertising options) across them.
