Should you ever stifle a Business Blog?
Question about Business Blogging.I am in the order of to open a trial business (hopefully) and was told that blogging can really abet - not only near website rankings but for more interest. So, my questions comes to this.
If you do a business blog, should you ever delete or gag a customers bad entry in the order of the business? If so, under what circumstances? If no, what if you could make clear to he was from a competitor and freshly trashing your business?
Second question, when should you unambiguous a business blog? Immediately when your business opens or after some time? Any suggestions here?
Thanks,
Markis
Answers: It really depends on how you want to use the blog and what stratum of interaction with users are you comfortable near.
I know of businesses who feels the call for to communicate with their customers and target flea market yet requirements control of their brand and name. As such, they set up a blog, but allows no distrustful comments. I know of businesses who don't even allow any comments at all. It adjectives depends on what you are comfortable with -- and how much refusal stuff are you willing to tolerate.
Having unenthusiastic comments -- and you replying to them -- shows that you care around your customers and listen to them.
But if you feel the refusal comments are just nought but pointless rant of a competitor out to get you, next you should feel free to hit the DELETE COMMENT button.
I suggest you check out blogs:
- of your competitors, if they hold any blogs
- other corporate blogs such as Dell http://direct2dell.com/one2one/archive/2...
When should you open the business blog? YESTERDAY -- seriously, everyone's blogging already (maybe even your competitors). Blogs are a reliable complement to business websites because it gives a human facade to the business. You are not a stiff "business" anymore but someone that customers and potential customers can talk to and relate.
But as the previous poster said, be sure to own your blog in your domain given name. Even Blogger allows you to FTP the blog into your domain so your blog looks more professional (and you don't have to promote two sites at the site time -- your major site and the blog). Having them on the single domain, with clear links to respectively other, will allow you to get more traffic to your business site
MarketingProfs.com have a good article on what to do surrounded by terms of corporate blogging https://www.marketingprofs.com/login/joi...
You should never delete the bleak post, but you should try to rectify the complaint in a clad amount of time regardless of who the poster is.
You should start the blog ASAP, but make sure the blog is hosted on your domain. Meaning www.yourdomain.com/blog instead of blogname.wordpress.com
Most website hosts such as www.godaddy.com will own a list of apps that can be installed when your website is hosted near them. I recommend installing wordpress!
Once you've got the blog setup check out this relation to learn more in the region of promoting it.
