Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

I am starting a layout site and I hold some press??

how do I make the links to my blog for the layout??

Answers: I judge you are asking about creating a hyperlink contained by a post?
If this is your question, here is the answer:

Although it depends on what blogging software you are using, within your admin area where on earth you type a new post, here is a WYSWUG editor. This looks like a word processor.

If you are typing a spanking new post you will see a few icons above your record area. Icons resembling changing schoolbook color, or making the text bold. Usually in attendance is also an icon that looks resembling a chain. This is for creating a hyper cooperation (or link). Highlight the text you want to enjoy your visitor click on, and click the fasten icon. This will bring up a hot window. The skylight will have a place to type within a url (or domain name). Enter the domain name, and preview your knit. It should be underlined and when you click it it will bear you to the page you entered.

What are some ideas for fundraising?

Answers: If this was for an organization at school, you don't say. I'd go to the Walmart or some other superstore and buy some candy bars in bulk. Each of the members would go door to door and sell it at 100% mark-up per bar. I wouldn't buy that ridiculous priced promo candy that leaves you nothing but a small %. Remember people are buying it to support you without really caring that they are overpaying for the candy.

Here in Houston one of the local scout troops contracted with a local mulch company to sell mulch by the yard. Obv there was a mark-up and a separate cost to lay it. Labor was furnished by the mulch company. They made a ton.
If its a legitimate charity, you may want to hold a raffle.
If it;s a school or sports team, sell discount ticket books to local merchants
Also, hold a dance, or put on a play, or Teach classes. Anything that would attract donors and that your membership is competent to do.
I talked to someone who said that they sold hot dogs outside of Frys for a day. They made thousands of dollars. You have to make an arrangement with Frys ahead of time, of course.

I live in California and some areas get to sell fireworks and some don't. In the areas that are allowed to sell fireworks, I am told they make so much money that is the only fundraiser they do all year.

If you have your members sell things, I always like the discount coupon books. They don't spoil like food items and as a buyer I always felt I got value for them. Some things that are sold actually make me feel ripped off. Like the junk the school sells at the beginning of each year. And yet we all feel obligated to buy and support our schools. The merchandise is overpriced and not good quality.

Like the mulch idea, our local boy scout troop was selling a chord of firewood (I think for $125). They got the wood from a landscaper so it was free.
Hi Watson!

Great question! I've been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years.so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost for your cause...

1) Consider a mail campaign - depending on how many mailing addresses you have, you never know how many people might respond to your cause and just write you a check! This works amazingly well for several organizations that are short on time AND resources.

2) Consider running an online auction - this is an AWESOME way to get to the people whose mailing addresses you don't have (ie you've got their EMAILS)...your email base can feel like they're using their expendable income on great stuff AND its going to their community at the same time!
I've included a link of one of the online auction companies that I've worked with...cMarket. They also have another website, BiddingforGood.com, that opens your auction up to all their members so that people who you don't even know can donate to your cause and bid on your items!

3) Have a fundraising event - give people in your community something to look forward to, and host a gala.you can sell tickets, have an auction, raffle prizes, etc that will give your church something to look forward to AND a perfect opportunity to donate to something they care about.
