What is "OBAY"??
I saw this ad on the side of a bus today. It said and I quote,"Are your children starting to surmise for themselves? Put a stop to it now near OBAY."
there be also a picture of a bottle of pills with "OBAY" written on it.
I've search online to see what this stuff actually is, and can't find anything that remotely resembles anything from the advert I saw.
So basically, I'm curious to know what this stuff is, if anyone know, thats great! let me know please...
Also, base on the context of the ad, it make me wonder what this world is coming to. If your children can think for themselves, make available them a drug to make them docile. Thats what I am seeing.
So the second section to this question is, what is your belief on this ad? What do you expect its trying to do?

or it could be a play on words,
a bad spelling of 'obey' to report
the kids what's right and wrong.

I saw this want ad on my way to the gym this morning and be instantly insulted. I saw 2 different ads, one beside a father & son, one with a mother & daughter. It is -16C today, so I didn't stop to inspect it further.
Two hours next, on my way to work, I be fully awake and I realized that it is some sort of savvy trailer campaign, expected about parenting, or it could be from the United Church. They have a very provocative poster campaign closing year. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/st...
The ad have a tagline that said something like: brought to you by the folks at DoAsISay. I wish that I'd taken a photo, but as I said, it be -16, and I didn't want to stop and get my camera out.
I am disappointed that I can't find any info around it online yet. I guess that I'll lately have to dawdle for phase two of the campaign. But, they do own people discussion! And that is their aim.
I saw this ad this morning as resourcefully. But the ad at the bus stop close by my house read:
"my son used to have his own aspirations, very soon he only have mine"
It made me laugh really firm.
It looks like a legal pharmaceutical ad but they threw within some hints to suggest otherwise.
Down near the bottom of the public notice was written
"brought to you from the maker of Becauseitoldyouso TM"
I think its a some the teaser to an upcoming youth/parenting cause. It'll generate a lot of buzz. Can't keep on to see whats hiding behind the first stage.
i saw one on a bus that said "as soon as amy started thinking for herself, we nip it in the bud near Obay." and the bottle said sumthing like "when they cant see it your track, its time for Obay."
it was pretty a scream.

I saw it 12 Feb 2008 in London Ontario, a viper's nest of Canadian conservatism and insurance companies, on a bus.
I'd resembling to see how many culture ask their doctors for these pills when they're renewing their dexedrine and ritalin scrips for their kids. Other people's parents.. Cripes.
