Webcrawler
You can buy "pay-per-click" advertising through G00GLE's AdWords system, Yahoo's Search Marketing division, MSN AdCenter, and Ask.com. When you include their "turn out partners" (including AOL), these search engines toy with more than 90% of all search online.

My experience -- and the experience of nearly all marketers -- is that pay-per-click scour on any other "search engine" is ineffective and unprofitable due to extensive fraud. There is an intricate network of relationships between thousands of "second-tier" rummage through engines and sites; when you run an ad on one of these second-tier rummage engines, you're usually buying traffic on dozens or hundreds of other search engines, tons of them unethical or fraudulent.

There might be some legal pay-per-click search opportunity beyond these top 3 or 4 search engines, but the cost to monitor campaign and demand credit for fraudulent traffic is simply too glorious to justify the physical exertion for most advertisers.
Hello..

Currently G00GLE controls 75% of search engine traffic and your quest is deeply to get within the "top ten" for keywords people would use to find you. There are copious ways to advertise to drive targeted traffic to your site some past its sell-by date these include

1. Web Directories (Free & Paid)
2. Article Directories
3. Press Releases
4. Social Bookmarking
5. Video Submissions
6. Rss Feeds
7. Viral Marketing
8. "PPC" Pay Per Click... (expensive but immediate results)

NOTE: Submitting your site to any scour engine will only procure you in their index and zilch more as it takes "Backlinks" (links on other websites) to propel you to the top of any and adjectives search engine results.

I own found a guide that is hugely useful to those a short time ago starting out and have it nominated below... thx Biz-Giant

If you are public relations, don't bother wasting money on any engine other than G00GLE, Yahoo, and MSN - surrounded by that order.

G00GLE is still the largest, Yahoo, the 2nd largest, and MSN the third.

If you are promotion, focus on those 3. The other "search engines" sketch for 1% of search engine users. If exposure, that's not good ROI. Better to spend more at G00GLE, Yahoo, and MSN - maximize ROI from them.
