Alexa only tracks company using their toolbar, and many advertisers look at the Alexa ranking of a site to determine if they'll push with them.
The more flier revenue we can generate, the more prizes and giveaways we hold, but we have need of your help to promote our Alexa ranking.

can they really pump the alexa rating doing this?
Answers: It is not a officially a scam until it comes to paying out the prizes. If the prizes are salaried to 'friends' and there are no indisputable winners afterwards it is a scam.
This idea of have a site treasure hunt when visitors hold installed the Alexa toolbar is quite prehistoric and yes it will increase their Alexa rating.
Anyone can manipulate Alexa ranking if they really want to beside this and hundreds of other methods. This is why anyone who knows what they are doing take not the slightest notice of it !!

How can ifind if someone has a patent on a idea that i have for an invention?
Answers: There is no gauranteed way to find out. But you can do a patent search or hire someone to do one. A good place to start is G00GLE/Patents. They have all U.S Patent in their database. There are other free sites, but I think G00GLE is best for a begginer.
But, you are probably more interested in if you can get a patent for your invention. If someone else patented it, that would stop you for sure. But it dosen't have to be patented to stop you from getting a patent for it. If it is already known, then you can't patent it. Furthermore, if it would be obvious in light of what is already known, then you can't get a patent for it.
So, do a regular G00GLE search for it as well...if you find it on Ebay.then you can't patent it.
You hire a patent attorney to do a patent search.
