Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

How do i submit websites including my keywords and/or description to major search engines without paying?

Answers: Simply use the search engines' ADD URL tools

G00GLE http://www.G00GLE.com/addurl/
Yahoo https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/su...
MSN http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/submit.asp...

Submission is easy -- ranking well is the challenge. Make sure you have great quality content, and have sites linking back to your site
Each search engine has its own rules regarding this.

go to G00GLE and search "G00GLE webmaster tools" although complex, you can get their bot to access your site.

go to yahoo and search "yahoo webmaster tools"

you can do the same at any search engine you wish to include.
Submitting is not necessary for the engines - they will find you (sooner if you get a few good inbond links). After you do the basics like good content and meta tags setup a site map (not the one for pople but xml for the engines.) G00GLE and Yahoo provide instrictions for how to do this for their respective crawlers.

This is far more beneficial to your site than submissions are.
Good Luck!
On top of all the awesome suggestions everyone's made I'd also throw in that you should check out http://www.bruceclay.com Ton's of great info and a search engine directory showing you where all the sites connect at...

Tons of great info.

Can't stress that enough.

They also have all the site submission links on their as well.

Good luck!

Please give me some reliable, serious sites where i could check people' background out?

Answers: For free, check out http://www.crimcheck.com , they have an extensive free public records section.

But since you would have to do the research yourself which can lead to missing out on information, I would recomend http://www.easybackgroundchecks.com , they offer statewide background checks for $15. They also offer nationwide background checks for $30
uhm if you're not a supervisor or running a major company of some sort.that's not cool to wanna do a background check on someone. Why don't you just ask them to be honest rather than snooping behind their back to find out info? And if you don't trust them, then leave them be. If someone did that to you, no doubt you'd feel violated.

Man the computer age has brought us to asking questions like this.on Yahoo.

How can one prove to a client about web traffic?

Answers: If you are thinking of selling ad space, or selling ad space on your site, there are several ways to show clients your web traffic:

1 - Use a third party service such as Quantcast http://www.quantcast.com which shows not only your traffic numbers but demographic information

2 - Put your traffic numbers in your media kit

We have been selling ad space since 1999, and haven't experienced a client asking for access to our stats software just to "prove" our web traffic numbers. We usually give the traffic information in our media kit, and if they have clarifications, they come back and request more information from us.

But if you want, I suggest giving Quantcast a try -- the catch though is that anyone can see your traffic numbers. The more high end sites use Nielsen Netratings
Be more specific. Are you doing keyword research or testing a particular page?

Nichebot will help with keyword research (I prefer it over Wordtracker).

Check stats from your backoffice (server access).

G00GLE analytics will allow you to put tracking code on each page you're testing.

Please add more details re: your question for a more detailed response.

Best,
Mike
You can use G00GLE analytics to generate traffic reports and send to your clients. There wont be any other best thing if your client gets reports from G00GLE itselg. G00GLE Analytics is answer to all your problems regarding web traffic etc.
