Answers: If you talk within general, both the lingo Global and International marketing are used interchangeably nowadays. But if you are conversation in vocabulary of marketing theories, International Marketing was a stage surrounded by the evolution of Global Marketing. Let us see how,
Stage 1 : Domestic Marketing : Companies manufacturing products and selling those inwardly the country itself. So, no international phenomenon at all.
Stage 2 : Export Marketing : Company starts exporting products to another countries also. This is the immensely basic stage of worldwide marketing. Approach of marketer in this stage is said to be ‘ethnocentric’ because although he is selling stock to foreign countries, product development is totally base upon the taste of local customer. So, focus is still on domestic flea market
Stage 3 : International Marketing : Now, company starts selling products to various countries and the approach is ‘Polycentric’ i.e. making different products for different countries.
Stage 4 : Multinational Marketing : Now, surrounded by this stage, the number of countries in which the company is doing business get bigger than that in ahead of time stage. And so, instead of producing different goods for different countries, company tries to identify different regions for which it can deliver same product. So, same product for countries lying surrounded by one region but different from product offered in countries of another region. e.g. a company may agree on to offer same product to India, Sri lanka and Pakistan if it think the taste of individuals of these countries is same but at the same time offering different product for American countries. This approach is call ‘Regiocentric approach’.
Stage 5 : Global Marketing : This is the final stage of evolution. In this stage company really operates contained by a very ample number of countries and for the purpose of achieving cost efficiencies it analyses the requirement and tang of customers of all the countries and come out beside a single product which can satisfy the wants of all. This approach is call ‘Geocentric approach’.
So, one main difference between International and the Global marketing is the approach of marketer. A truly intercontinental company instead of offering different products to different countries (as in International Marketing), develops and offer a single product to the world.
You should note a different very interesting reality that in the impulsive stage of Export marketing also, the company was offering a single product to respectively of the countries as in the final stage of Global marketing. But it be entirely different because in export marketing you produce according to love of your country and force that on other countries but in Global approach, you bring care of entire countries and develop a product which can entertain the need of adjectives.

1. Quick attention : It is the fact that if you are using any celebrity in your ad, it is likely to draw more attention. Attention of common people watching TV and attention of media also.
2. Creating Differentiation : Nowadays it is not very easy to create a product totally different from that of competitors. That’s why marketers opt for celebrities whose own brand value acts as a differentiator for the product. For Example, there may not be much difference between Pepsi and Coca Cola but each and every person knows that Pepsi stands for Shahrukh and Coke stands for Aamir.
3. Ease in developing Brand personality : Every marketer has a job to create a distinct brand personality of the product. Brand personality means the picture which the customer creates in his mind when he thinks the product as a living person. E.g. Brand personality of Mountain Dew will be highly energetic, brave and daring.
Now, if you are using a celebrity in your ads then the task of building personality of the brand gets easier because personality of the celebrity gets directly implied on the product itself. So, whatever personality you want to give to your brand, just search the perfect celebrity having the similar personality and associate him with the brand.
Disadvantages :
1. Cost : The very first drawback of Celebrity advertisement is that the involvement of celebrity immediately increase the cost of making ad by multiple amount.
2. Celebrities endorsing several brands : Celebrity endorsement is not new now and that’s why many companies are hiring celebrities but this creates a dilution of celebrity personality which reduces it’s usefulness in creating brand personality of product. E.g. Amitabh is doing ads of dozen of products ranging from oil, ointment, pen to chyawanprash due to which his effectiveness has been somewhat decreased (but it does not mean that it is useless to use him in ads, he is still having brand power).
3. Risk attached with the celebrity itself : It is true that if you are attaching your brand with the name of celebrity then every good news in his career will be a good news for your brand also but at the same time if anyhow he get trapped in any bad activity then it will harm back your brand also. For example, if you remember, when Shane warne was caught in drug case just before the starting of Cricket world cup (not of this world cup but the earlier one), pepsi had to stop telecasting all the ads which it had made with warne.
