Answers: Compute first your fixed expenses every month such as rent, telephone, monthly fees and add the variable expenses such as electricity, water, food etc. Then deduct the total from your monthly income. If your income is more than your expenses, save the difference in the bank for future needs. If your expenses are bigger than your income, you may either find more sources of income or you may steal or borrow. (Stealing is a joke!)

I'd only add that you simply need to track ALL your expenses and all your income - make a habit of getting and filing receipts for everything - you'ld be amazed at what is flying out the window without you realizing it.
Next, I'd be sure that I had at least 6 months of your income set aside in cash as an emergency fund and start paying yourself 10% of what you make UP FRONT and put into a savings/investment fund.
From there its a matter of making some tough decisions about things you are spending money on that you dont need to be spending - cut back on eating out, forego a few movies maybe wait on buying clothes you dont really need right now - go through all the stuff you haven't used for a year, have a sale, and either save it or if you have debts - PAY THEM OFF!
