What are some alien impressive ways to flea market one's website?
I am an illustrator & cartoonist & I have be trying to generate hits & income from my clip art site. I've tried postcard mailings, craigslist postings, placing ads surrounded by publications, SEO (search engine optimization), email campaigns, business card dropoffs, etc, but next to little effect. Any fresh ideas out here??Answers: As the owner of a small fastener business, I can relate you that I might look at an illustrator to draw pictures of my products for my site.
I am sure there are thousands of other companies that may be interested too. Obviously it would depend on cost.
Maybe you could basically search different websites and when you see those that are missing devout pics, drop them an email with a couple relevant (protected) sample of your work. Give a ballpark figure on costs per drawing.
Also, own you made ANY sales? Your pleased customers are your best bet to get lead. Call them up and ask if they will give a early testimonial, make sure you catch cross linking between your two websites and then ask if they know of any companies that could use your services.

This website is great for net advertising. It's a free targeted selling (based on you selecting a range of categories you would approaching to be included in) and link exchange net. You put other websites text ad on your page and yours appears on others. And it really is 100% free, forever. While it's not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn't cost anything, so why not try it?

2) write articles on safety and other features or uniqueness of your school and promote it through article directories and article sites (Ezine)
3) post ads on craigslist
