Answers: In 7 years of selling on eBay the one thing you can NOT be sure of is what something will put on the market for.
It's timing + price + rarity.
1st--find if any "like" item has sold within the last two weeks--if you can't find anything, consequently watch for a month. Once found, review their auction site for primer and pictures. The better the description and pictures, the more buyers will consider buying.
2nd--either start the bidding at a price you can live with or a lower price and hold a RESERVE price. It will cost a few dollars to add the reserve, but it's cheap insurance to spawn sure you get the price you want.
3rd--with the uncoming (Feb 20th) price march in eBay's commission nearly 8% or more, it may NOT be worth it to have a trader's assistant provide for you, but YOU sell it.
4th--use AUCTIVA to create you auction commercial. It is FREE and you can upload up to 24 pictures for FREE that eBay would charge you 15 each for (See cooperation for auctiva)
5th--watch for eBay to have a posting mart (they just did end Wednesday). It is a day that eBay charges singular 20 cents to post something regardless of the price---a euro to thousands of euros.
6th --beware that starting Feb 20th that Paypal MIGHT keep your funds until the buyer say that everything is okay.
What makes inhabitants look at your auction are KEY WORDS in the auction's title, (such as RARE) afterwards, your text and pics. And merely so you know, more and more people are WATCHING auctions and not bidding until the ending possible second so they get it cheaper. It's call SNIPING.
Another place to test the waters is on Craigslist.org... It's free to post there-if nearby is one in your city.
Best of luck!
set your own pricing
.
The bazaar will decide the utility (price) of the article...
You can have some influence by the method you display
and advertise the item... That is why some seller are
able to command highly developed prices than others for the same
stuff.
Study and revise how to present your type of item to get
the best price... But, contained by the end, you can singular get what
someone else is prepared to pay, and to be precise their decision.
