Most people - businesses - don't think about advertising on trucks. Look at you. You're asking this question on the SEO section.

You'll want to start this the old fashioned way: cold calling. Face it, advertising on trucks is not the foremost method of advertising on most businesses minds. Especially small businesses. They are not going to go to some website to look for truck advertising too much. There are some search volumes for that keyword, by the way.

If you want to find the advertisers, you gotta go out and do that. That's how selling advertising works. And you gotta show the potential advertisers that your truck will be very visible to everyone. That's how I would think if you came to me and asked me to sponsor.

I had one guy ask me to pay him some $200 or so in advance for a business card sized ad in his local magazine. I asked him about his distribution, who sees it, what kind of person reads his magazine, etc, and he couldn't get me answers. He told me their distribution was that advertisers get copies of the magazine to place at their establishments. I said - I dont have an office, I dont have a shop - where the heck am I going to distribute - and furthermore, why should I be responsible for YOUR distribution?

My point - be prepared to show your potential advertisers the value of your truck - your route, your visibility, etc.

am i doing everything right? is there any other things that i should be aware of?

i dont want mess this one up.

Only answer if you know what your conversation about.

Answers: First flaten the portrait. You can save respectively side as a separate file.make it easier for the print shop.

Save as a .pdf use "print quality" settings and convert text to curves

Hopefully you designed it using a CYMK pallet.

If the color bleeds to the point, you will want to extend your canvas .125 inches adjectives around, then breed sure you stretch your colors to the very top.

The print shop will print the flyer on oversized paper afterwards trim the edges ...that .125 will be snipped off.

With anything that you design, it is preferred that you transport a .pdf document that is the actual size of the item, fairly than sending, for example, a business card layout that is sitting within the middle of an 8.5 X 11 page.

Do not apply crop marks in your graphic.

...on a side transcribe...I'd be interested in seeing a example of your work.

thank you
First, you should talk beside the printer you plan to use, as each print shop have different pre-press requirements.
Many other questions obligation to be asked and answered like does the undertaking bleed? does it fold? how? etc...

But these are all best answered by the print shop you will use
~ for example our online print shop http://www.imagemakergraphics.com accept .jpg, .tiff, .eps and bleeds are usually +1/8" or no bleed -1/8" border for trim

Best of Luck
You should contact the printer so you know what format they need within order to print. jpeg/pdf should be fine. But you enjoy to make sure first. Mostly depends on the printer. Leave some bleeding room. Maybe print it out next to you regular printer at home just to see how it looks. A lot of this is trial and error.
