Website/Business Name?
I need minister to!I'm trying to come up with a domain name/business designation for my site but after 2 weeks i'm stumped. All the names I hold come up with so far hold already been registered, I've tried online identify generators (no good), words i've made up (stupid) and i've be through my thesaurus enough times to brand my eyes bleed.
My business is technology which incudes web design, software engineering and custom built equipment, so I inevitability a fresh, edgy (maybe) name.
Absolutely ANY support would be appreciated, i desperately need some inspiration to catch the creative juices flowing again!
Answers: How in the region of running a competition in your nouns through your local newspapers, or beside local secondary schools/colleges etc to procure all the locals to come up near a name.
That agency you get free PR within the local newspapers, school/college newsletters etc both announcing the competition contained by the first place and then announcing the victor, perhaps next to a photo of you handing the competition victor their prize (which doesn't have to be expensive - how going on for an MP3 player for a tenner?) and if you get photographed next to the winning name/logo self held up too then it get it in front of individuals right from the start. then once they start to see your business up and running they will already be aware of the logo/name etc and your business will have instant credibility.
This is freshly an idea - mould it at will!
inno-tech or inotek or InnoTech
innovative technology.hey hey thats a good one! if ur business works i obtain a share alr8t?
Give us some more ideas as to the products/service... be specific as this will relieve our own 'brainstorming'.
Also give us a consistency of what you have tried so far to bestow a feel of how YOUR mind is working...
I will carry my thinking cap on near a 'Brainstormed' list of other planning 4 u.
Also WHO will be your main customers? small sole traders or big business?
EDIT...
Some philosophy to open up your thought pathway...
Anything with the initials IT within is, but have the IT 'capitalised'... similar to:
icandoIT.com
Something associated with WEB, but thinking latteraly..
Spider
Moneyspider
Net
Arachnid
Something base on SOLUTION:
liquidweb ("the 'solution' to your IT problems")
What works well is when the first name is associated with the product or service or beside the 'problem' that you 'resolve' for your customers...
That would be a tough field to find a domain baptize in that even closley resembles you business. I can take in your fustration. I don't have any idea's for a nickname, but maybe this will serve. Take Godaddy, there first name has zilch to do with domain selling, but its catchy and sticks contained by the mind so it was a nouns and now it is synonymous beside domains. On the other spectrum when I tried to start a domain reseller business I was contained by the same boat as you. I couldnt find anything available. After much fustration I found a first name so blatantly obvious I guess nobody else thought of it. Thats
http://www.ICANN-Domains.com Just finding this domain made my business almost an instant nouns. I hope that helps go and get your wheels turning!
I muse you should first find out who you are planning on targeting near the business. If you specialize you may be able to focus on your target and not yourself.
For example I own recently started a domain label registration /Hosting/ Web-page company (I am looking for designers to work with so contact me). What i do is not so different than plentiful other businesses, but my target is new business owners. I looked-for a quick unproblematic name that say what I do. My domain name is yourcompanysname.com (the site is not up yet). Understand? It is around your customer, not about you.
here is my $4000 utility domain name belief that you will get for free because it is still available: itechware.com (IT + tech + software) [edit: contained by addition, the i at first position sounds approaching ipod irobot and all other ithings around]
alternative second domain moniker also available
bettertechware.com (goes well beside slogan 'better tech solutions')
Have a good one ;)
Don't simply try to make up a mark. If you're looking to rank all right under your lingo you'll want to come up with something that citizens are looking for. Yea, I know that's dull but it works.
Not doing this is one of the biggest mistakes and reason for online damp squib. You'll want to go to (please G00GLE this) Adwords External Keyword Tool.
Look for how citizens are looking for what you do. That will not only provide you a leg up, it'll get your given name going.
Try the strategy laid out in the contact below for a company name. It can also work for a network site.
