There are no set rules when dealing beside eBay trading assistants. Most trading assistants are individuals that offer their services on a recreational basis.
When dealing next to any trading assistant, be sure to ask for the following:
1. A formal contract describing the services being offered. This document should index all fees involved near selling your items.
2. An itemized receipt encyclopaedia the items you are handing over to the trading assistant to provide.
3. A time-line on when your stuff will be listed on eBay and when you will expect costs for the items that are sold. If the trading assistant isn't too busy, you should expect your items should be listed inwardly one week after you hand over your items.
4. Ask more or less liability insurance and what happens if your items are lost or tattered.
Be sure to ask to be notified when your items are down on eBay along with links to the auctions. This route you can watch the auctions and notify the trading assistant if in that are any errors in the index.
Good luck on finding an eBay trading assistant.

Answers: You ask very valid question.
Is there any point you don't/can't sell these items yourself?
Selling on eBay is really not difficult - adjectives you need is a bit of time to photograph your items, schedule them and answer questions which may be asked. At the termination of the transaction, once the payment is made, you simply pack it up and post it - assuming we're not conversation cars or huge paintings.
Building trust is something which is risky no thing who you deal next to ... there are however, specialist eBay stores (not owned by eBay but run by eBay sellers) where on earth you can drop your stock off and they'll lug care of it from near. Depending on where you are, you may enjoy one locally.
As for the average time to sell, it depends on the type of almanac. If its a store listing as dead set against auction, it could take a few weeks or months depending upon what type of item it is.
Generally auction listings are available for 1,3,5,7 and 10 days so you embezzle your pick... there is no difference within the cost for listing irrespective of the number of days.
I hope this help a bit,
Cheers
