If I needed to push my services on Second Life (using my avatar) is it possible and pleasing?
What is the best way to agree to other avatars (second lifers) know that you provide a service without soliciting them? I would similar to a second life surrounded by which my avatar can socialize but also provide services if members should choose to investigate..Answers: Lots of ways! And first of adjectives, let me voice Thank You for not randomly soliciting other residents! Some ancestors just don't realize how annoying that is to say.
That said, there are lots of great ways to push. It depends on what your service is, of course.
First, set up a classified hoarding, if you have not already. Go to your profile, choose "new", and create your flier. That way, your service will show up within Search, and also, anyone reading your profile will see it. I recommend auto-renewing it (just check the auto-renew button) so that you don't have to remember to hang on to updating it.
Depending on what your service is, you may be able to host an event of some type, for promotional purposes. Post it on the events detail at secondlife.com.
Some services benefit from having a group to keep hold of all member listed. Create a group (costs $100L) beside the name of it anyone something relevant to what you are promoting. This is especially effective if you host regular events, or involve a way of communicating updates/new products to your customers.
There are ad-boards posted around Second Life. You can rent the space (usually by the week) and publicize to anyone walking by. If you search "Sexy Land' (usually it will be surrounded by popular places), you will see an example of them there. However, that distinctive location is full of campers, so you probably wont get much contained by the way of results by exposure there. See if you can find a location near lots of active traffic to puff.
Set up deals near other business owners. Rez an ad for their service at your location, and enjoy them set one up for you at theirs.
Contact club owners about sponsoring their events (providing free services/cash prizes within exchange for advertising your service during the event).
Set up an article on slprofiles.com. If you have a headquarters/location in-world, you can rez one of their signs on your park, and they will post an ad for you free of charge.
There are other external SL beneficiary sites you can join and ballyhoo on, as well.
