Answers: There is a requirement that all advertising is truthful and reliable and when people buy that product they expect it to live up to the advertising. If it does the customer is satisfied and will often select other products or will be a repeat buyer of that product because they can rely on it and they know it. If the product does not do what the ads say the customer will be unhappy and will refuse to buy that product and often any other products by that manufacturer because they will assume all products will be over rated.
advertising must be careful not to present their products too heavily on one product alone people will identify the brand with a single item and will often overlook other products by the same co. for instance People connect Honda with vehicles but many are unaware that they also make generators, lawn mowers etc. so advertising must focus more on the Manufacturer than their products.
