Assignment is to come up with five philosophy for attracting the 55+ demographic to Starbucks. What products would you sell them - how would you bazaar them? I have some planning - just wondered if anyone is surrounded by a creative mood.Answers: Simplifying things isn't a bad perception, also maybe bring an interesting guest to your local Starbucks, possibly an author and have a book signing. I would do my best to deal in them all the Starbucks products I could, after adjectives, it's my job. Sell them adjectives you can - but if you're worried about over complicating things, consequently simplify them, but be careful to over simplify them, you don't want to cause your patrons feel stupid.
Maybe publicize a senior citizens night, or hold free coffee, probably in a small size so you go off them wanting more, maybe you can achieve them on pastries or maybe they might want something to clean down with - enjoy one of the employees recommend something.
Play elder music, try not to play anything too "top 10-ish", or if you do, stick to soft music, not pop or anything like that.
Offer free the media, so they stay and have something to read - or proposal a product demo - something that may interest the senior community.
You could also try to forge a partnership with a local restaurant or even a national manacle - Starbucks has the power to do that. Don't choose McDonald's, Burger King, or any nifty food. Maybe a Golden Corral, or a Furr's Cafeteria, or a Luby's Cafeteria, or a Sweet Tomatoes, or a Souper! Salad!.
Just whatever you feel that older folks are interested surrounded by, try to incorporate that idea into your final marketing arrangement.
Seniors are somewhat difficult to specifically attract unless you have facts that actually shows what they are looking for within an outing or something like that.

Offer a "No cell phone / IPOD / Laptop" section where on earth people can sit and complain almost the government or the price of gas or kids on their grass.
Offer a "No Frills" menu, where instead of a half-caf, double latte mocha espresso macho grande (or doesn`t matter what, I have never be in a Starbucks) they can writ a "Large coffee" Maybe even call the coffees by different name, like the Mickey Mantle or the Liberace or the Shirley Temple or something.
Sell 1/2 price drinks from 3:30 to 4:30 or something. Call it the "impulsive bird special." Oldies love somthin for free.
Senior discounts sounds good. Create a club where on earth frequent Starbucks goers can hang out and congregate each other. Let them hold a little room where on earth they can just "chill out" and homily about be going on with their lives and the community.
In about to products- free mugs, give away little coffee sample with every purchase. With little gesture like these, perchance they'll be convinced about the product and would buy.
