I'm not sure if affiliate marketing is your point or not, but that's how I make money online, I put together money form using PPC with adwords etc, selling other peoples products and making a % of the mart.
I make money stale my squidoo lenses and hubpages, from sending people to my site via video, youtube being my masses source of video traffic, I also make money from general public that are on my mailing enumerate.
