But do they still spend $ on advertisments like they did previously?Answers: when things are bad companies habitually spend more on things like marketing and hype. In regards to the bank and their mortgage lending. In times past the banks hold been allowed to lend money to whoever they considered necessary and set their own qualifications. commonly people be given mortgages and the monthly payments required to repay the mortgage was superior than they could afford and people get farther and farther behind surrounded by their payments and the bank have to foreclose. This action have affected masses industries and people in that is a surplus of homes on the market selling for smaller number than the market merit . and that drives the house prices down on all homes. also general public have lost their equity that be from their down-payments, increase in property values etc. and fiasco to pay rear legs their mortgage results in poor credit. All these things including other change have made ethnic group think the bank are in trouble and they may not trust them . So the bank and lending institutes would be spending more than usual on public relations to make sure folks know they are still OK and you can still borrow money from them, and invest with them . When companies are making money, the promotion expenditures are average. but when profits are down and clients are harder to attract They spend MORE on advertising and promotions to attract them.
