Why would I obligation a double opt-in portion on my website if Im not sending out emails to my customers?

I have a 'Job Seeker' website where on earth my customers are employers looking to hire or post seekers look for jobs. The employer pay to post job on my websites for job seekers to look at. So, if they are already paying me to use my service, doesnt that count merely as well as a 'double opt-in'? I dont even plan on sending them any emails after they hold signed up for my service...so, why would I even need the double opt-in fact?

Answers: Why are you asking the question? Has someone complained or object that you aren't doing double-opt-in (confirmed opt-in)?

If I look only at your press, the answer is simple: you don't need ANY form of "opt-in" (single or double, confirmed or not) because you never send email.

But I specifically question your comment that you don't plan to dispatch emails to employers after they sign up. When their poster expires, wouldn't you send them a reminder and a renewal submit? What if they don't remove an ad but job-seekers email you note that the job be filled three months ago?

Likewise, wouldn't it get sense to let job-seekers sign up to be notify of new postings that contain specific keywords?

In decoration, if you will set up "anonymous email forwarding" (similar to what craigslist offers), then you'd necessitate to confirm the validity of the email address supplied by the employer. (All too repeatedly, people mistype their own email address.)
Hi,
I use Aweber and you can pick double opt-in or single.
Always use double, unless you want complaints and have your account shut down.

Using double opt-in covers your butt and the auto responder company to.

If they've signed up for your service later why not use your list to build a better relationship beside them and promote other stuff from your niche to them.

You could have it set up so a alien email goes out to adjectives customers every 5 or so days for a year making some extra income.
