A postal indicia is for out going post and can be first-class, pre-sort standard (bulk) or non-profit rate. It usually says First Class, US POSTAGE PAID, anytown, NJ, 08880.
You payment this before mail.
A business reply permit usually go on a #9 size or a remittance envelope. It will usually say "no postage necessary" etc. These are a moment or two more complicated to get.
If you are doing a bulk mail an idicia will also save you a few cents on postage. But you enjoy to have your post sorted. Better to let a correspondence house deal beside that.
