Strategy Question for eBay Sellers?

Hello,
I run a very small business on eBay for a moment or two bit of extra money by selling home/office telephones that stock in price and point.
I currently have to compete near bulk sellers from, for example Hong Kong, who schedule phones a lot cheaper than I can afford to do account with my phones. (Both price and postage is deeply cheaper for similar items, and I honestly wonder how they make much of a profit.) This afterwards pushes my phone listings a lot further down on the search/list page as my listings are more expensive. (To form matters worse, in attendance are lots of digital cheap e-Books that push my listings down even further once again!)

Considering I most frequently use the "Buy It Now" option, instead of charging, let say $20 for the handset and $10 for the postage, should I put down the main price to $0.99 and push the postage up to $30?

Do you own any other hints on strategies to get my listings better on the search page or tips to boost sale?

N.B: I live in Australia.

Answers: I would not insist on to charge more than the cost of postage because it is against ebay Australia policy and they will delete the listing if they find it. Maybe if you made it a bit smaller amount obvious, influence 15 for post 15 for phone? Also Make it very prominent that your an Australian peddler and the item is in Australia, empire will pay a ot more if they know its geared up to post and its keeping the money in Aus. Good luck!
Messing next to postage by inflating is not a very worthy idea.

Does postcard marketing work?

Any tips on what to do and what not to do to get a better reponse? Any righteous websites for more information? Thank you.

Answers: I've done enough card campaign to know that it depends on your target population. If your list is convict, that is, they know who you are already, you'll grasp a much better response than you would with a blind mail. Of course, your offer have to be unique, adjectives, and professional.
www.myezprinter.com has some great info on direct letters with post cards within the post card section.

Post cards enjoy the highest readability...you can throw away a reminder..but you can't not look at a post card. Especially one with enticing visuals and a great headline.

The most momentous factor is the tremendous advantage of communicating directly to the most qualified buyers of your service or product.

I enjoy more success near Direct Mail than any other type of advertising milieu, but that is due largely from years of perfect the art form.

The keys to successful post card marketing are firstly...own a very professional and appealing design, supporting a hit you between the eyes headline.

If your post card looks resembling it was homemade...using cheazy clipart and such.an instantaneous decision is passed upon the percieved value of anything the card have to say. So if it looks cheezy, the proffer is assumed cheezy, and it goes into the can earlier the details ever get read. (this, by the approach is why most mail merely gets a 2% response...too plentiful people trying to do mailings lacking knowing what they are doing)

The headline has to speak intuitively to the intended target. It can conjur curiosity, or it can basically solve the leading problem in one sentance.

The other primary ingredient is the volunteer.this thing have to be insane!. A "good" offer within your mind, usually is too conservative in their mind...and no act is generated.

Think of your purpose from this angle You absolutely MUST obtain that first step in this business relationship to evolve, because if it doesn't...none of the next ones ever will.

Getting someone to "respond" to you should be lone function of direct mail. Its your livelihood to actually close the public sale.

Just making people aware of you, isn't going to accomplish anything, and trying too concrete to sell something adjectives in the mailpiece isn't going to work any.

Its a mechanism for response.

What is the lifetime importance to you of just one response? ...yeah ...alot of money !

This is what make direct mail so costly to companies who use it religiously.

Not only does it bring contained by new money...but it is used to cycle customers rear legs through their doors at a higher frequency than would transport place naturally.

Good Luck within your campaigns.
it's more or less the benefits -- not the product

make sure you are target your ideal client

it take 7-10 times that someone sees your public notice before they "might" buy.

That's a start.
