Advertising A Town's Buy Local Campaign?
This is for a TAG project at my school. We are working near my town's (Leon, Iowa) Chamber of Commerce. We need to attain a slogan, logo, and other marketing ideas. If you've get any ideas, that would be greatly amazing! We are basically trying to advertise the total town and get inhabitants to shop locally. Thanks!Answers: I checked this

if I'm reading right there are nearly 2K folks there, so your folks know your town for sure. I would guess profusely go to Des Moines for big ticket items or what?
I see a summer county fair--that's good--but perchance what you all requirement is more stuff locally to get folks out and to buy (I don't know. I hold not been to Leon). Seems you could toss out thinking like:
farmer's flea market
swap meets
talent show
some sensitive of arts and crafts promotion
would think within a town that size that you all could agree that in attendance could be postings at the library or PO of a certain size for free that empire can put up for businesses--could help a bit
Is in attendance something "special" Leon makes? Maybe you can bring some folks from Des Moines to come over--looks to be 60 miles away so if you had something FUN resembling the fair concept--food, games, arts & crafts, etc. I could see where on earth folks would come on over for a few hours. Especially if folks seem the Des Moines relations are willing to come, they'd regard as more of their home town--good enough for a big city (which Des Moines is), pious enough for us.
I'd speak your logo should tie in near what you all do--doesn't look approaching a heavily agricultural area to me, but I don`t know it is. I'd look for something symbolic that fits.
Looks to me from what I glanced at that you've charitable of got a Mayberry within. That's in NO WAY an insult--we could use a LOT more Mayberrys contained by the US.
Maybe browse what some other smaller towns do to stimulate their economy or put themselves on the map. Maybe what you adjectives need is a suitable old fashioned boarding house or such--a lot of folks would be merry to see a peaceful small town contained by the heartland. Can't say it would be a big purveyor when it's winter but if you could do an event, even then, you could go and get lucky.
How much is this .com domain worth?
I was going through a chronicle of domains that were expiring this month that I owned and saw WontTell.com. I'm interested contained by selling it, and used a few domain appraisal tools to price it and was surprised how giant they said it was valued. Anyone here own any idea how to price these things? The appraisal guys want you to list near them. Even if there's no up-front cost, they'll still get a big chunk of the selling price - if it does market.
WORD: It's worth what someone will pay for it.
They'll show you a glorious appraisal, then seize you all excited so you'll settle up them to list it for you.

A little relieve next to a European Nissan advert?
A couple of years ago-must have be 2005 approx-one of my nephews appeared in a Nissan commercial for Europe. From recollection, my brother and his wife remember this advert showed a Dad driving back home to appendage over a present to his little son-my nephew-which turned out to be a black kitten.As this ad be never aired here they lost track and don't even remember the campaign designation or even the car model.
Has anyone get a clue? I've been browsing youtube.com to no avail so far.
