I have only launched a latest website - www.mytown.ie and I want to see what competitive levels of visit on other irish sites are. I will use this information for analysis of my own stats and also to decide which sites to approach for media hype purposes.Thanks,

What are dutiful website statistics?
I have just now launched a latest website - www.mytown.ie. I have get G00GLE analytics on the site and I am very impressed beside all the information that I am getting fund. The problem is that I don't have anything to compare it to. Is in that a website out there that will enlighten me what average stats are (like Pages/visit, bounce rate, avg time on site, new visits).Thanks,

Answers: You can compare few things using standard tools. Create a list of your competitor sites and do the following:
1) Check their Alexa Ranks (compared to yours): this will bequeath you comparative idea on traffic to those sites compared to yours.
2) check yahoo inlinks count (on yahoo go through type: "link:<domain name>". This will afford you the idea on how tons people are linking to a site. The higer the number of links the more popular the site is
3) do a G00GLE dig out with enquiry "site:<domain name>". The count gives how plentiful pages from that domain are indexed within G00GLE
4) use socialmeter.com to check how socially popular a site is
