Are business cards a good way of advertising for bail bond business?
Answers: business cards are always great and flyers work good too
I've only been in the business for a year. Here are some suggestions. I haven't tried them all.
Pick one court in your area and make sure your cards are on the pay phones and even inserted in the phone book in the bail section of the yellow pages. I attend the arraignments every day to see what happens and watch for folks that look like families waiting for someone who is locked up.
In our area we can post our cards in most of the police stations but we play card games with the other bondsman meaning they take my cards and visa versa.
Although I haven't tried it I guess sending cards with a note to criminal lawyers wouldn't hurt and pick at least one that you can recommend to your bail clients and the lawyer will sometimes return the favor.
I put mine in the laundry mats but never got a call as far as I know and a couple of restaurants. I am in CT so the process is probably different than yours.
