We have a family-owned Day Spa & Salon and we hold been open a month. Business is SLOW and we do not have much funds to do any serious selling. Can you help me beside some inexpensive ideas to draw contained by customers?Answers: Make business cards and ask to post them around town. You could put an ad contained by the local paper and mobile phone book. You probably don't have ample money for televised or radio ad YET, but once business picks up, you can.
For new customers, you might be capable of offer a business such as a foot cleansing with a manicure "for a restricted time", to draw people within. Signs are everything too. I know that I will usually go to the place that have a better presentable sign and clean environment.
I've hear it takes a while for businesses to break even. Give it time and don't dispense up!

Answers: As a 3x entrepreneur, I can tell you it's a fun, exciting and worrisome process. I've outlined a few resources below that will be of great help to you. I also tap local resources here in Portland (of which you can do surrounded by your area) including OEN (Oregon Entrepreneur's Network), Starve-Ups and EO (Entrepreneur's Organization). I suggest reading as many books and discussion to as many those who've "been there/done" that as possible so you don't repeat avoidable mistakes. Don't forget your local library...the citation desk folks are brilliant in helping direct you to resources.
Best of luck.
