Ideas for a 60-second glider commercial?
Good day! I enjoy been assigned to do a 60 second commercial wiht four of my friends. We are promotion a glider called "Bree-Z Rider" (after the infamous movie Easyrider.) We have to put music, dialogue, pictures, a slogan, and a catchy jingle within our commercial...So far I've been thinking the following...
AUDIO- "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolfe (Easyriders)
"Superman Theme Song"
DIALOGUE- Something involving a pilot maxim the wonders of this glider to his passangers.
SLOGAN- "You'll feel approaching your on cloud 9"
Please help me. Offer planning for dialogue. Thanks a lot!
Answers: Its not jammy to come up with honourable ideas, but so far you hold conflicting messages. Your audio is about excitement, freedom and antic. Your diolog is rational. And your slogan is almost security and comfort. Together it make one big confusing mess. Decide on the profile of your buyer, and decide why they will buy your glider. Are they comparing your glider to the competition? Or own they never thought about buying a glider?
Maybe your best target are race who are thinking about buying a high-end motorcycle: rich folk wanting to incorporate adventure to their duration. Then you could run TV spots in race programming, show the highway speeding by from the drivers view, as though the camera is on a motocycle near Born to Be Wild playing. Get the audience to say Yeah, that's what I want to do. Then the highway falls away as the lyrics say-so "and explode into space". The highway is then see from above, then the camera veiw moves to outside the glider and you see it soaring. (let your special effects guys integer that one out) The slogan is "We can climb so high I never want to die". The closing blind gives info roughly speaking how to find out more. go to www.ClimbSoHigh or somesuch. This is a pure ardent sell; consent to your brochure do the serious work about staying risk-free. For now, a moment ago make the antic seekers want it.
The pilot talking might work best if you focus your best prospect is people who already know give or take a few gliders.
Whatever you decide is your target and the sense they will respond to the ad, be committed to that declaration. Put some thought into those whys. Most people don't realize how much thought go into defining advertising target and strategies long before a specific classified ad is ever developed.
