The firm will introduce new characters, increase distribution channel and bolster its sagging online sale business. Hello Kitty products currently account for 80-90 per cent of Sanrio's annual North American sale of more than 7 billion yen.
Bank of America, a major U.S. wall, recently established to adopt the Hello Kitty character for its credit cards. And a governing cellular phone company in Mexico plans to introduce a model feature the friendly feline. Sanrio also intends to extend license to beauty salon and other businesses.
