how is it possible to provide an view to a clothing company approaching american eagle outfitters?

Answers:
I was contained by purchasing/procurement for a large corporation. So I know how it works. I be not in the retail clothing industry.

But here's how I construe that a buyer for American Eagle would build a line of products for mart in their abundant stores.

First of all you call for to know that a buyer is in an extremely elevated pressure job. If he buys 1000's of items which ultimately do not put up for sale. He is stuck with a huge revenue loss, which could cost him his employment.

I very much doubt that they would buy an theory. What they are looking for around the world is an established clothing manufacturer (say surrounded by Tiawan) who has creative designers and huge production proficiency. If they like the product, they will email their American Eagle logo and the capitalist will sew it into every item during the mfg process.

Size by quantity are set, confinement dates are contracted. Shipments are made next to specific arrival dates (to ensure that they ensnare Spring Break, Xmas etc.)

So ideas are not really the mode they work. However if your idea be outstanding, a buyer could take it and transport it over to Tiawan for production.

What you could do is contact American Eagle or any other company like them. Ask specificaly for the contact information for the buyer/purchasing agent who would pedal your clothing item.

They will be split into different areas of reponsibilities such as (I'm being creative here) bluejeans, sports wear, teen wear, mens wear, ladies wear, shoes etc.

Stress that you are an "American" designer next to ideas and skills to create fashion for American youth.

Their 2007 Spring line would benefit substantially from the excitement and vigor that your "American" concept and creativity could bring to the American Eagle 2007 lineup.

Hope that helps

u can e-mail them if they have an address or u can christen them and ask how u can sell an model to them. i never did it so i'm not exactly sure how.

if you go to their website and told them about it? or asked for a congress i don't think they adopt people's designs because american eagle oufitters already has their own designer who made the store and everything. i'm pretty sure that't newly the store that one designer designs all the clothes.

first, you must be amazingly good looking, or hold a friend that is. they can model your clothes for u. afterwards u hav to take the clothes, and hack rotten most of the fabric, so that it shows plenty nudity to be socially agreeable, when it doubt, lean on the risque-slightly offensive side, you want to build an impact. if u get this far, start your own company. adjectives u need is some children surrounded by india with little fingers to put together clothes, espensive prices, a cool name, and commercials that appeal to craze and other superfluous desires (try sex, popularity, language, violence). Ta Da! brand current clothes company.

Actually, I think you'd be better sour offering the design to a store like target. Hold on, I'm not insulting you. Just suggest about it this course: Some one on the earlier posts already stated the possibility of AE not accepting your design due to the reality they already have a designer. Now, if you approach chains similar to Target, Walmart, etc. And pitch your idea to thier sub designer chains (Mosimo, etc.), they are significantly likely to not single consider your design (after all you are the target market) but they might even propose you a job. Hope that help and gives you for a while insight on other options if AE doesn't follow through. Good luck!

you should email them or write a reminder or talk to the administrator! what r u advertising?? :) You would first come together their designing crew and purpose your idea to them. To bind their crew you would have to hold a portfolio and numerous liberal art schools.

make contact beside them, have produce to back up your concept. Make copies and send out your mode ideas, etc...

Prepare a massively detailed professional presentation to the correct person (design, marketing, or license director); set up a meeting, and perfect luck.

If that does not work well, do not donate up, move on to subsequent manufacture.

the first thing you wanna do it copyright it afterwards you can talk to a designer nearly it and sell it to them Get some SUPER hott modles and show them what your chitchat about. Visual aide will really trade.

Yesss! Target offer great opportunities for this description of thing. I co-founded Mossimo.

yes,but don't stay here,go to their corporate headquarts for the hypothesis. Just call AE present your notion. I am sure they will listen, even the best designers run out of ideas some times. You May be surprise at what can come about. There are some companies looking for fresh designs.

AEO's home organization is located in warrendale, pa (i worked near for 9 years). when i left they be having their clothing essentially mass produced by other companies and their label were sewn contained by to them. They have a staff of buyers who gross the decisions almost what will be sold. Find the name of the buyer explicitly responsible for whatever group (womens, mens, etc) and contact that party. You should just know how to call the prime number and ask. And as for the stores they have an contained by house team of draftsmen who brand the design of the store fit the space they are going in to.

Contact them and speak to marketing or purchasing, you entail to consider trends, functionality, cost, niche etc...I think it depends on what you are trying to go. Need to do a little bazaar research so you can have something near which to back up your belief.

when i be 10 i wrote a letter to a candy company give or take a few my idea for suckers that look approaching aliens. they said they already have ancestors to think up hot ideas and shortly after they come out with a similar product
Source(s):
true story, coincidence or not? you can probably run pictures of your designs and e-mail them to americaneagleoutfitters.com(al... ask if you can create a meeting next to the people who are come first of the company).

you can freshly go for it
remember near is more then one company

You dont. They dont take philosophy from everybody off the street. Try to dance sell a mmovie opinion to a movie studio, that isnt going to happen any. contact the company from their website. ask for contact information for the design department. then, contact the design department almost presenting your ideas.

be sure that you enjoy sketches, samples, etc. and why your designs are advisable to them.

you could also try contacting human resources from their website. i'm sure they look for new designers and portfolios adjectives the time.

good luck!!

The naming of your business could be one of the most important decision you will make. A name's vision and legal availability will create a TRUE asset value of its own, as it become marketed and gain market taking up.

The name you choose will become the focal point of adjectives the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it contained by the future.

Since any name that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I needed to go a different route...

I suggest any hiring a name creation firm or return with together with your friends and/or ancestral and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some concept around. Compile a listing of name that you like the best. Once you hold that list, do as much free research as you can up to that time you delve into comprehensive research.

I listed some links where on earth you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratch the surface of what's out there.

Only comprehensive research will detail you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.

Comprehensive research consists of looking at results that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning surrounded by the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as economically as the US National Common-Law files.

There are other sites that offer free probing capabilities contained by conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not competent to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. contained by the residence 're-cap' what is 'cap' short for?

Answers:
capitulation (meaning, summary)

Other Answers:
Capitalization. If you're talking something like issuing debt to buy back stock.

If you be set to the normal word recap, later it's capitulation.

http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=recap
You might mean the newer usage, as surrounded by to "recap" a story; to provide a summary or retelling of something you saw or heard. You might want to read a "recap" of an episode you missed of your favorite TV show. (see www.televisionwithoutpity.com)

The just thing I can come up near is that "recap" is a synonym for "retread". You can retread an old tire to get it usable, but it also means "to fashion over as if new <retread an out-of-date plot> (Miriam-Webster dictionary). To go over something that have already happened.

So within this case "cap" isn't short for anything. Recap is only just a word.

Failure of fresh coke?

In 1984, Coke introduced "New Coke," a drink with a slightly different recipe more intended to chew like Pepsi. In the blind bite tests, New Coke fare very in good health and most people surveyed said they preferred New Coke over Pepsi. If this be the case, how come when Coca-cola launch the product, New Coke failed so miserably? It be a complete disaster. There were protests around the country. How does a product that tested all right in souk research utimately fail when on the open market?

Answers:
You can't be all things to adjectives people. You can't use a preview market research group to try-out brand affinity. Brand equity is a function of affinity, experience, and promotion over time.

If Sony puts out a toilet, people will rebellious and say, "Sony doesn't belong surrounded by the toilet industry." Likewise, Coke tried to be the "sweet" soda and the consumers can see through that. They want the classic American taste and even though the "New Coke" taste different and possibly better, it still "feels" like it taste better. It's all just about branding. That is why we feel safer when we drive Volvos than a Mercedes, even though both cars carry out equally in crash test.

The protests and push-back from the country was a result of Coke's up-sell agenda. People surmise of Coke as an all-American company. When they start trying to change their depiction to appeal to a larger audience, people start perceiving the "sell-out" persona. By selling out, it abandon their core market of loyal drinkers, a moment ago like Mac users getting frustrated around the Intel chip in Apple computers. The Coke loyalists don't want to consistency like they are self capitalized on. No one wants to surface like a company is abuse their loyalty by shoving unoriginal, copycat products in their frontage.

Other Answers:
Because people don't approaching to see their favorites change. It freaks them out. When it come out, everyone was approaching "Oh, yeah, I really DID like the weak Coke!"

Cause the ones that like the classic were upset just about it. But I agree ... I liked the unsullied Coke. I don't know why they couldn't just be paid both, and maybe they tried. if the marketing at the back the product is not sufficient the product will ultimately fail, folks don't like metamorphosis they stick to what they know, a person will 9/10 times return to their inventive brand

it become a controversy and people fought over elderly coke vs. new coke. coke eventually brought rear coca-cola classic. people don't approaching to have their favorite products tamper with. plus, there's so much ebb and flow between cans and bottles and fountain drinks, that it's probably firm to really know the difference outside of a controlled research environment.

it's less almost taste than perception.

Because it be a blind taste exam, the consumer wasnt told that it was coke, merely a coke product. We as humans look at the label and mentally know that it is something different later what we are used to and therefore will resist cash. Marketers look at this all the time and thats why when they adaptation a product they change the sign also. Coca-Cola is a part of American culture. To convert that would be like varying the American flag to a pattern more trendy. That being said, I like "New" Coke and they probably should have market it along with Coke Classic instead of trying to replace it.

Sergio Zyman presided over the introduction of New Coke in 1984. This be a difficult task, some would voice virtually impossible. It faced two substantial problems. The first be the powerhouse of marketing at Pepsi, the second was the huge loyalty Coke have developed and New Coke would have to leap over back earning it's place contained by the top two best selling drinks. The cannabalism of it's own market by Coke be a bad move to start next to - though one which the 'experts' thought would work. Pity they weren't marketers.

It's been alike at MacDonalds who got into Hotels at one point. Companies habitually look for areas to broaden thier base and formulate dumb moves. The 'experts' make these suggestions, but might not own to pay the price of disappointment the way the company does.

One interesting spin on this is what vehicle companies do. They are now practically reinventing their length every three years, with current models. This often allows them to whip advantage of reduced commerce costs (through technological developments) by designing the cost nest egg into the new model. The result is what appears to be a 'New' Ford Focus, is one adopt cheaper manufacturing technique. It appears to be more valuable surrounded by all respects and a better motor. It may well be a better coup¨¦ for the manufacturer, though not necessarily for the buyer (which is why untried cars tend to look like one another - they're adjectives being manufactured contained by the same low cost manner). We are sold this as "new Style' and deeply of other things.

If you analysed New Coke you'd probably find that the ingredients were easier or cheaper to aquire (or stored longer) than the Classic ingredients. So the
increase was probably for the copmpany - not the consumer. As it be, Zyman made a brave decision and created a huge nouns by revamping Classsic Coke - so retro it's new and superior!! Amazing guy, and an amazing story.

If you want to know more about this guy, check out his book - The End of Marketing as we Know it. It's really a great read and essential for marketers contained by the 21st Century.

would you a bit spawn a purchase online or be in motion to the store?

Answers:
I would always a bit go to the store. I own ended up beside so much merchandise of , ahem, questionable quality when purchasing online or out of a catalogues that I don't bother anymore. The one exception is my dog treats. I hold an allergy dog, and have with the sole purpose found one place to get her treats that she can munch through. They are more than a thousand miles from my home, so I do make that purchase online.

Other Answers:
It depends. Some things i want to see - to surface the fabric level, to read the label, etc. But stores where on earth i live are very restricted, so we do quite a bit of online shopping if we know exactly what we want.

Buying clothes online is rather scary because you never know how they will fit. But, if you're a hard-to-fit size and some things are impossible to find locally - online shopping is a godsend.
Using a safe and sound On-line payment immediately is available at most websites. If you trust the product quality no burden to buy On-line

purchase on column, arrives at my door and stores never close. i can shop according to my schedule.
If the store is close by, I usually find it easiser and cheaper to shift to the store since there isn't any shipping fees.
If it is a not easy to find item, then online is usually the best mode to buy.

how do I procure sponsor for my website? How do I sell media hype spaces on a website I create that would have thousand of population visiting it everyday?

Answers:
We deal in advertising space on our website - both banner via CPM, sponsored text links, and newsletter selling. We have be successful at it, and we even have waiting list for advertisers.

In our experience, here are what advertisers are looking for when choosing sites to use for their advertising:

1. Who are the people = It is important for advertisers to know whether your site's company are what they are after. More than just traffic numbers, they want to know whether they can achieve targeted traffic from your website.

2. Traffic levels = Advertisers will commonly ask you how many visitors/pageviews/uniques you take in a month. Some will travel to Alexa.com to check your traffic standing (not accurate, but many see it as a appropriate guide). If you are selling banners through CPM rates for example, they will in general ask you how long it willtake you to show the 20,000 ad impressions they ordered (or how masses they ordered).

3. Your rates = how comparable your rates are with others.

4. Customer service = advertisers want QUICK support from sites they want to flog on. You need to be expeditious to respond to their emails, whether inquiring for your media utensils or asking your ad rates or checking the deeds of their ad campaign.

The key to read is that advertisers will always look for metrics to aid them gauge the ROI they can gain from advertising contained by your website. If they don't think your site will not tender them a good ROI, they will not lay it on thick or renew their advertising on your site

From the article "How to Generate Advertising Revenues for Your Web Site" http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol28/adreve... , within are several ways you can earn money from advertising:

1. Join an public relations network. Advertising networks are organization that aggregate Web sites that offer exposure space, and sell ensign ads (and other media hype options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although masses do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

http://www.memco-kwt.com First of adjectives, you need to follow a switch concept taught by Jay Abraham. Identify where on earth your customer is likely to be and what they are possible to be doing before they come to your site and later identify where they are probable to want to go and what they are expected to want to do when they leave your site. Then contact companies which volunteer those products and services and show them how associating with you would benefit them as economically. For example, suppose you put up a site about gardening - remunerated or free. Someone selling a home or buying a new home, especially their first home, would feasible be interested in your site as okay so contact some Real Estate companies to see if they would be willing to refer customers to you and/or possibly even take-home pay you for linking back to thier site. Quality referral can be just as prized to you as paid ad if you use them effectively. Then contact nurseries, hardware stores, landscape services, pool installers, building contractors (especially remodelers) and such nearly paying for an ad on your site. These are especially important if you write an article about the product or service they set aside and include a link to their site within the article as well. You can also sign up for G00GLE a.d.sense and bring paid as an affiliate for related products and services. Also contact companies near products of universal appeal such as Business Opportunities, Travel Services, Pet Products, and Mortgages. Get for a while creative in identify appropriate companies and you can even link to their sites using cloaked links to show you and/or your advertisers how much traffic you are sending to them on an ongoing starting place. If you have 1000 people daily to your site and you see that 100 of them are clicking on a relation to a Real Estate site, you know that is a great nouns to try to get to settle for more advertising. Remember, the more you know just about how valuable these ad are to your advertisers, the more confidence you can have surrounded by setting a reasonable price for them. Best of Luck.

what are the procedures and processes to be follwed when merchandising?

1.what is merchandising in retail?
2.what are the essentials that you ned to know when placing merchandise on shelves and racks.?
3.How to stack merchandise stacked?

Answers:
Merchandising is the philosophy of placing product where consumers can see it, evaluate it for purchase, and access it so they can purchase it.

The ground rules of merchandising differ from store to store. I have worked surrounded by stores who merchandise based on price, color, characteristic, size. Some sores believe in "false fronting" when they don't enjoy enough product to amply fill shelves...specifically, they have one or two pieces, so those are pulled to the front of the shelves to make available the appearance of a well-stocked store. Some do not believe in this practice. Some stores separate stuff by category, some by brand. Again, that second question depends on the philosophy of the retailer.

Your third interrogate has to do beside the second. It largely depends on the retailer. At a number of stores surrounded by which I've worked, merch is stacked with two philosophies surrounded by mind 1) appearance...large items in the neighbourhood the floor, smaller ones on top shelves, more expensive at eye level and 2)safety...displays must be stacked such that they will not stumble over and customers can access them easily. They should also not violate fire codes (stacking too close to a sprinkler system).

Other Answers:
Merchandising is the art of exposing what you want to provide in a retail store. Procedure is unproblematic as you understand and acknowledge the following points:

1- The eye chooses since taste or rationale ... so eye catching displays are those which are stacked neatly near attractive color variations.

2- Notice to choose shelves which are between eye-to-hip because those are the shelves which are graceful to access for everyone , unless your target are children or ... GIANTS

3- Never use a Gondola for more than one week if you have other locations on shelves, because a gondola will be attractive as foreign, but turns in into another shelf stack after one week when ethnic group get used to it.

4- Use marketing substance for your products, like shelf talker, danglers and ceiling hangers. Make sure that they are perceptible from everywhere in the store.

5- Do not over stack the shelves unless you are asking for tattered return-back items from the store management.

6- Try free sampling any by using a promoter inside the store or by shelf Free testers (for certain products).

7- Do not madness when seeing your shelves empty ... in recent times run to fill your spaces earlier adjacent merchants crowd it with their products.

8- Make sure that you other dust and clean your items on the shelves, a consumer hate to get dirty if trialling your product or reading its description.

Wish you lucky Merchandising

Answers:
Yeah WATCH OUT! There is a scam running around where they furnish you a fake check, which as expected seems solid. You then put the check surrounded by your bank side and send them a check for a "commission".

Your check clears, their check bounces and you are scammed.

If you want to try putting the check surrounded by your account and proverb "screw their commission". (even though it will bouce)

HOWEVER, there is expected some poor business out there that the BVC is stealing their sketch number and their heads are spinning as their wall scrambles to move their accounts around and shift their numbers.
