I work for an exposure agency and can tell you that selling for tourism is extremely difficult. This is not to scare you but to some extent help you choose what thinking you should cover. If you can pick a spot to advertise - pick a spot beside OBVIOUS BENEFITS. In other words, if you picked Florida - talk something like the things that are somewhat unique to Florida - the beach - the golf - Key West - Disneyland - etc. If you can not pick a spot - head to the nearest bookstore and carry one of those travel guides for your location. I know alot about Apple's History because I did a research broadsheet on it a couple semesters ago. This is what I wrote:
Apple Computer began on April 1, 1976 beside Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs making Apple I. Apple one was not taken seriously at this time. It wasn’t until 1977 when Apple II come out that everyone was deeply impressed with their computer. It be the first computer that was within a plastic case and included color graphics. In 1979 Apple visit Xerox to see their GUI and came up near some ideas. They developed Lisa, which be the first Apple computer to have GUI. Mike Markkula took over the project because Jobs be a poor project manager. In 1980 Apple III be released and also at this time the company was getting bigger next to several thousand employees. In this same year, IBM released its first PC and due to the big impact on society Apple have to lay off 40 team. Steven Jobs realized here that Apple company be become big and they needed someone better to lead them through this so Jobs hired John Sculley as the clean president and CEO. Sculley was a great businessman but he didn’t know anything in the region of computers. Jobs and Sculley didn’t always see eye to eye. Jobs also realize the success of Apple would be through the Mac so he worked intricate to get up to date software for the computer. On January 24, 1984 a commercial during the super bowl aired the in Macintosh computer. This be huge success for Apple company. Early within 1985 Jobs and Sculley started arguing. In May Jobs tried to get Sculley fired when he be out of town for business but someone leaked this information to Sculley. The board voted to find Jobs out and Jobs resigned that say morning. In the next couple months Sculley lay stale 1200+ employees and Apple have it’s first quarterly loss. At this time Sculley probably made the worst mistake of Apple history when he signed a contract with Microsoft that said Windows 1.0 could not use and Mac technology. The cause this was a big mistake is because Bill Gates beside Microsoft knew he be going to have different version of Windows (2.0, 3.0…) and he knew he could use Mac technology because the contract said nil about other version of Windows. It just said Microsoft couldn’t use Mac technology for Windows 1.0. The trash Microsoft did to Apple was pretty bleak. Apple although continue to invent investigational technologies approaching the Post Script printer and PageMaker which gave solutions to the Desktop Publishing. It also made Mac a hit again. In 1987 Apple come up with Mac II which solved the problems of the first Mac which lack RAM and drive space. Apple was shipping out roughly 50,000 Mac II’s a month. In the 1990 came the clones of PCs. What cause trouble with Apple be these clones were adjectives running with Windows 3.0 systems. In 1991 Apple once again get ahead with the introduction of the laptop computer, which be a big, hit for the Apple Company. Also at this time Apple was working to release a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) call the Newton. The Newton was released but wasn’t a big hit because the handwriting appreciation was tricky to read. Sculley started losing drive to do well so the board granted to replace Sculley with Michael Spindler who be the COO of Apple. The first thing Spindler did as unknown CEO was he released the PowerMac which be a big hit because it was faster than Intel’s Pentium. Apple be getting so many advice for computers in 1995 they didn’t own enough resources to build the orders. In the expiration of 1995 Apple decided to try to put up for sale its cheaper line of computers but this didn’t facilitate Apple and Apple had a $68 million lose that quarter. In the emergence of 1996 Spindler was asked to resign as CEO and Gill Amelio, the former president of Semiconductor took over. Amelio have some ups and downs as CEO of Apple. He got into the company and established to do some reorganizing. His first quarter there he posted a $740 million loss but the subsequent quarter he brought that loss down to $33 million. He also did even better the next quarter and made a profit of $30 million, but that didn’t final long because when the G4 came out Apple go back to a $73 million loss. In the December of 1996 Apple approved to buy NeXt (Jobs company) which meant the return of Steven Jobs. On July 9th 1997 Amelio be fired from Apple and put Fred Anderson, Apples CFO in charge and Jobs become in charge of Apple again. He cancel Newton, and then announced Apple and Microsoft become alliance surrounded by exchange for $150 million of Apple stocks. Then he destroyed the clone market by buying the largest clone company. Next he exchanges $100 million contained by stock for 200,000 mailing schedule names. In November Jobs announces that Apple will lone sell computers online or over the phone. Apple also announced G3 at this time. The online Apple Store become a huge success. Apple shocked analyst at this time when they made a $47 million profit that quarter and a $57 million the subsequent quarter.
