This is known as "Fishing". It is a growing surety risk nowadays. What you have need of to do is mark it as spam, do not reply to it beside any information! If you were to hold a paypal account and your provided information, most expected you'd be the victim of identity burglary and your paypal account would be cleaned out.
It sounds approaching it might be a spoof email. People send artificial emails from "Ebay" and "Paypal" that take you to a mirror site so that you enter your sketch information and then they steal it. You could just report them as spam if they are virtual. I get the spoof emails too.

The criminals who run the scam are a Nigerian gang. They mostly use stolen checks from material businesses.
When you receive one of these checks and deposit it in your dune account, your sandbank will verify if the account on which the check be drawn exists and has sufficient funds. This will collectively be the case. Therefore after a few business days you will receive funds surrounded by your account.
