Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

I want to set up a website. What's the best style to do this? Hire a professional or buy a software box?

Answers:
If you are trying to sell something (yourself, your planning, or your business) whether or not that includes e-commerce (an online store), you should hire a professional. If you wanted to start up a store selling merchandise within a shopping center, you wouldn't want to try building the store would you -- in that armour, you'd want to focus on how best to position your business to sell products and/or services (leaving the storefront to a company that handle construction work).

Other Answers:
If you don't have any experience, you will probably of late get frustrated trying to diy-it. If you hold the funds, you should hire a pro.
Just depends, you could go to templatemonster.com and buy a template to the type of website you want and variety it yourself. If you want an interactive website you need to know server side programming so i would suggest hiring someone. If you purely want basic content you could effortlessly add that yourself beside frontpage or similar software.
hIRE SOMEone THAt knoWS wHaT THEY are DOing.
if your website is selling products and needs to be scure and attractive next hire a pro. Other wise it is jammy to make one next to programs like macromedia.
Hiring a professional is the best.
It's not not easy to do and you get better the more you work at it. SBC Yahoo Small Business have some very straightforward to use tools that will help. You don't enjoy to know code. If you are looking for ideas on setting up your business, I found this site that have some good information that may comfort.

Good luck.

Ok, for a real answer. First you want a domain name. This is how general public will find/know your site i.e www.yahoo.com Second, you need a trellis hosting company. This is a company that will store all your files on the lattice, per say. Thrid, you involve to design a website. You can use a template. If you do this you will need second software to edit the template, this can procure costly. So if you have no desire to do the following after hire a company/person to do it for you. You will spend from 299 to 20,000 depending on what your needs are. email if you entail more info.
I think it adjectives depends on what you want to do with the website. If it's purely informational, you can probably hire a professional to do a few page for a reasonable price, but you could also bring away with a template site.

I don't recommend trying to do it yourself unless you hold a good plenty of an eye for graphics and marketing so that you don't make an amateur-ish site. Also, you own to be willing to invest the time within researching your market and study some elements of HTML, because prepackaged software can add so much bulky code that it is a pious idea to swot how to trim it to the essential code.

For a robust e-commerce site, I recommend hiring a firm to design your look and feel of your site that can also translate the design into functional code that can be used on multiple platforms and peak resolutions. That is the tricky part and why they are salaried the big bucks. Then I would bundle that with a back-end content government system and an ecommerce solution for true customer service. All three of these elements could come from the same firm, but sometimes you can attain them from different places and integrate them.
I run about 14 websites right presently and I did 10 of them myself. Like others have said, if you know how to do it yourself or aren't afraid of getting frustrated and pulling your coat out, then by adjectives means, do it yourself. Web design is a talent specifically very dear nowdays.

If you're looking to get a professional website, you can gain the best of both worlds. The last 2 websites I get setup were done by Valueweb.com. Only cost me 49.95 per month and they design the site and protract it for me. With so many sites to run care of during my weekends, it be starting to get hectic.

The guy I spoke beside was really nice and be able to explain their option to me without me getting confused at adjectives. If you want his # just consent to me know and I'll email it to you.

Velvetlass@yahoo.com
You can hire a professional if you can afford it, but as a beginner, i suggest that you start by doing it yourself first. in attendance are thousands of free hosting sites that you can start with freeewebs.com is noticeably my pick. and if you want cheap hosting, you can use this site http://www.freewebs.com/millioniare/cheapwebhosting.htm

Best route to submit a press release?

Hey everyone, I have a press release for a small business I just now started and I'm wondering what is the best means of submitting it. The weekly accepts email, fax, and snail correspondence press releases. Has anyone had any experience near submitting one, and if so, was it used and or powerful? Any other thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks....

Scott

Answers:
I recommend PRWeb (www.prweb.com) and they can also assist you contained by perfecting your press release. As little as spelling and grammer checking on up to a complete overhaul. I'm told they are markedly inexpensive while still sending your press release out on a huge distribution network (local and international).

Don't poo-poo a press release distributor since you never know who's going to pocket an interest in your business and want to shine a big spotlight on it.

My guess is that it would swing based on what daily you're talking in the order of. I'd contact the local newspaper and see what they hold to say.
myspace.com and thesmokinggun.com
The easiest would be to use a press release distribution service. They can distribute your release for you, and for some services, even gives you tracking as to which medium and websites used your release.

I've used PR Newswire http://www.prnewswire.com in the recent past
Make sure you send the release to the right reporter or editor. Depending on the thesis, there may be someone specific for 'small business' or 'retail' for example. You can grasp that information from the publication or its web site.

Never, ever send for to ask "did you get my release?" because writers abhor that. The only time you should ever call for is if you have auxiliary (newsworthy) information to add to the imaginative release.

The prnewswire suggestion is a good one, especially if you target geographically and/or by industry. A national release to adjectives types of hardcopy and online publications (many who will run your release as a matter of routine) will cost $8OO-1000.

hoe to earn a crore contained by a month?is this possible.how can i do that?

Try to enter into the retail market, this road you can earn millions not on a monthly but on a daily spring.

Pick up an item of everyday consumption, something that is a underlying need and does not cost much so that your target audience is larger. Manufacture it, and distribute it.

Example: Pepsi or Coke -the distribution surrounded by any large town is around and over 10 million pieces a sunshine, and so is the consumption. Just imagine a mere .01% profit side-line, multiply and you have 3 Million contained by just 30 days. It is not even seasonal anymore. The item have to be fast moving, the retail outlet will readily keep on its shelf since it will bring the ROI up.

Need Help Naming an Estate Sale Service?

We sell vintage jewelry and collectibles online and habitually go to estate sale, etc. in the Bay Area. However, we lately moved to the valley and own found that estate sales are almost non-existent. The few we hold been to own been run poorly, the places trashed by customers and the dismayed house members watching contained by horror. I got the belief that perhaps my hubby and I would start an Estate Sale biz that be a full service, in other words come upon carefully and respectfully near family of departed member or someone that go to a nursing home; handle everything from organize whatever is moved out after they take what heirlooms they want; pricing, exposure, dealer previews, cleanup and drag off, donation of residue etc. The last piece a family requests to deal beside is all the stuff but they don't want to see associates rummaging through it and disrespecting the property etc. I would like a given name that is respectful and sounds close to their items will be treated w/ dignity.

Answers:
Whatever you end up calling it, and if and when you want to advertise, sort sure you put the basic message of your cross-examine in that public relations. I've seen adequate estate sales to know that someone to be exact geared towards compassion, rather than quck sale, would end up making much more money contained by the long run. Your reputation will be your greatest asset.

Other Answers:
Possibly use your last baptize for the name next create a slogan showing that you are a family business helping out family. When creating your signs and advertisements use talent paper, metaphors, fonts, etc. showing that you have respect for your own and that you appear more actual. Also using soft colors and images that focus on items you may use will minister to make it more approachable.

Dignified Dispersments - Estate consulting "Oldies But Goodies" or "Time-Honored Estate Services" or "Heirloom Estate Services"

Cherished Heritage Estate Service, or Heritage Estates, Jewel Estate Service possibly. Something that sounds both respectful and acknowledges the family unit member's attitude toward their loved one's things. I've seen horrible ones approaching Finders Keepers Estates or (no joke) Everything Must Go. You could also try a combination of you and your husband's names, mix up the junk mail and make purely a new "name" out of it. Or, if those name sound too stiff, something that have the word "Angel" in it probably. Hope those put you on the right road.

Okay it might be too hokey but what about "Grandma's Attic Estate Sales" or "Treasured Memories Estate Sales"
Either give the connotation that you respect those you are in business for and still grant a clear idea of what you do.

Good luck next to your business The naming of your business could be one of the most important decision you will make. A name's imagination and legal availability will create a definite asset value of its own, as it become marketed and gain market embracing.

The name you choose will become the focal point of adjectives the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it within the future.

Since any name that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I looked-for to go a different route...

I suggest any hiring a name creation firm or take together with your friends and/or family connections and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some planning around. Compile a listing of name that you like the best. Once you enjoy that list, do as much free research as you can up to that time you delve into comprehensive research.

I listed some links where on earth you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratch the surface of what's out there. Only comprehensive research will narrate you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.

There are other sites that proposition free searching capability in conjunction beside their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain name & yellow page, so simply do a search for "free domain identify search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.

Hope that helps! I preference you much success & cheeriness in adjectives your ventures!

how to work ably as the product marketing arranger at a ERP software company? how to work well as the product marketing superior at a ERP software company? For example, the revenue forecast is the big headache.please give me some clues,or some weblinks.thank you completely much

Answers:
Wow. I actually WAS the product marketing negotiator at an ERP company for a whopping 7 months. Worst job I ever have. Only job I be ever fired from! (This is an indictment of the specific company and management I worked for, not the post itself----I've worked as a product manager for a production company for 9 years and do so today). Your revenue forecast needs to come, really, from your sale force. They need to inform you what they expect in bright license sales, and at what confidence level; your back downfall people should be capable of help you next to support contracts. In your business, there's a tremendous amount of year-to-year variance in different licenses (support is more predictable) because companies singular buy new ERP systems once every 7 years or so.

This is not something you're going to find on the trellis somewhere.

Good luck.

Other Answers:
A basic tool to comfort you with forecasting is previous sale. You should see periods when sale were up and when they be down. Sometimes the peaks correspond to marketing commotion like a trade show or direct messages. Other times ups and downs are caused by the season, especially in retail. Then nearby are industry specific peaks, resembling August for Federal Government customers.

If you have no history, research your competitors. If they are a publically traded company their enactment can be found in various resource locations.

Finally, the goal contained by forcasting is to be exactly on target. Sounds obvious? Be reliable. To over forecast will make your boss satisfied untill you fall short of aspiration and have excess inventory. To underforecast is even worse. You won't be capable of meet customer constraint.

Good luck.

Why do shopping precinct escalators other train on the womans side of the clothing department?

I went to JcPenny surrounded by the mall and the escalators going up and down concluded on the womens side of the store. Is there a subliminal message here?

Answers:
Women do more shopping than men do, that's for sure.

Other Answers:
Chicks spend more money on stuff approaching that. Duh. Simple marketting, they come up and see some shirt and they are trapped.
Women shop more than men do.
It's obviously a conspiracy.
Mall you said? Women?
...precinct, women...
there is not simply a subliminal message there is an overt one....you found it.
more women shop after men at the mall
women do most quirk shopping. clothing style changes normally. successful brands (women's clothing) generates most traffic and profit per square foot.
No it's just as society have become more "liberal" females tend to not do any work and that includes walking up stairs.

Another great example for this is when I was an ungrad at Florida State University I have a lot of classes contained by the Bellamy building and constantly the elevator would be full of females going up just one flight.

Nope not subliminal of late pure lazy.
You've answered your own interrogate! Ever notice that the other conclusion is usually in or subsequent to the "guy stuff" departments? Or that there are NEVER any clocks contained by the public areas of casinos?
I think you own already figured it out yourself.

Obviously, because majority of the inhabitants shopping at JC Penny or other Department stores are women .. shopping for clothes. Store always try to appeal best to in that main target audience. In this luggage JC Penny targets to women. Although they do get rid of men's items it's not called BA BOBS is it? Most men don't want to shop at a store call JC Penny do they now? Men want to shop at stores that hold "Big Tuff Manly" names (most do lol)
It is smart merchandising. They know women find it harder to resist the invitation of the impulse buy.
its marketing cuz, a significant portion of shoppers are girls so the precinct is gonna be structured for the most efficient marketing tageted to females, basically like that
yes.. women are workshy walkers
no it'snot similar to that always....
