I suggest you check out G00GLE Adwords http://www.G00GLE.com/adwords and Yahoo http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com... (though near your budget, I'd rather step with Adwords)
Note though that you cannot compensate your way to catch top ranking in G00GLE. If you weave Adwords, your ad will be shown on the SIDE labeled as Sponsored Links, not on the actual prod results. If you use paid inclusion of Yahoo, your $50 will not capture you anywhere.
Your strategy should be to look for longer keywords, but more targeted. Do not bid on your main keyword as prime keywords typically are expensive with lots of advertisers competing for the top spot. You can confidently deplete your $50 in soon.
