I enjoy an Epson Stylus Photo 340, which cost less than lb150 - it prints brilliantly (including professional-looking label for CDs - I publish my own CDs and they're indistinguishable from the real thing). It's not especially expensive on cartridges, the characteristic is absolutely excellent, and you could print your own design of heading as you go along ... you could print continuation sheets also, which will look especially distinctive. I promise you, I can't tell the difference between what I produce and what I would hold got from a professional printer (and you don't break your heart if you accidentally spoil a sheet and own to abandon it).
