Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

what is a virtuous affiliate program?

Question:
for bed and bath products?

Answer:
no answers within 8 hours? obviously not various...
The problem with affiliate programs is that within are so many that folks signing up to 'resell' products get carried away next to the hype of making money but soon realize that it doesn't actually work (I speak from experience).

If you look at the stats probably simply 5% of visitors will click on the affiliate relation and of those 5% another 5% percent will purchase the product. You can see that the returns are minimal unless the traffic through your site is in the millions...

Good luck

What are the components of an eye catching LOGO and a great slogan...the prod is a cover for Ipods..?

Question:
the name would be Techno Cover

Answer:
powerfully about the logo, you stipulation bright colors and a nice font.

the slogan, go beside somthing funny, like "Protects Better next Trojan"
Or somthing like that :)

if you want i can receive you a logo, i'm a graphic designer. Contact me :)
It would hold to be able to move about around my arm or clip onto my belt, whichever I chose, and couldn't interfere with my FM addressee if I chose to use it
The logo has to be something catchy and something general public would remember so they could tell their friends nearly a product from your company. But a slogan for Ipod covers. that is tricky.
Good Luck
kakatishizizzle
Change the baptize... it doesn't describe what it is and it doesn't have to.

If you disagree after tell me that you embedded what an iPod was a short time ago by the name. How just about xbox.

It's so silly that people effort about logo and slogan..it's an utter idle away for any small business.

Can you name me any product you bought because of it's cool slogan or logo? I can't entitle a single one.

You're making a unique product...it any stands or it doesn't.

Any name that isn't dumb will be official in their minds.

iCozy (like a tea cozy...doesn't issue...it's fine)

Eye-Pod (probably legal too)

is it believable for me to engineer money on ebay buying from in one piece seller and selling?

Question:

Answer:
Yes it is realistic, but it will cart some work. You need to do research on the items that you want to buy and put on the market and see if there is adequate profit margin.
Yes. My sister-in-law's done it for years. You basically have to find the right products and bring back good wholesaler prices.
It's not as trouble-free as it looks, and certainly more time consuming, but it's entirely possible. Be particular with the unknown stuff like ebay's fees and shipping.
it's believable in the sense that it's possible

however there's deeply of things to take into consideration

such as what wholesalers you should pick

what items you want to go

what price to sell them for

how to hype your items

how to get culture to bid on your items

and a lot of other variables surrounded by the situation

on top if it all you'll have need of to figure out how you'll generate a profit after taking the whole mart price, shipping, and ebay's cut into account

what's NOT realisitic is selling a few things on ebay and expecting to product the big bucks
I would say, yes. Otherwise you would not see the stuff for Dutch auction there. You can put on the market drop ship stuff via your store, if you have a website. Many option. Or you could become an affiliate for many products. Here is a best affiliate report and 6 methods that I own come across. I have some info on my blog.
If you are trying to craft money from home using the internet i would recommend buying the rich jerk e-book - http://ashf7.richjerk.hop.clickbank.lattice... - as quite simply it is the best e-book i hold ever read the tips are simple to follow and they work i have made relatively a lot of money from using them, not plenty to quit my job but but hopefully sometime soon.

Anything you meditate can and will be used against you?

Question:
How well does this phrase relate to psychology's role surrounded by marketing

Answer:
At first i was going to vote a smart n sassy answer but actually i guess you r right!!

If I THINK that buying this product will solve my problems...I'm SOLD!!
Well, it's a really cool statement but it's not accurate because marketing remains a statistical activity...no one can dispatch me a direct mail that will hold a high providence of getting me to buy...2% in direct e-mail isn't average...it's utterly amazing.

So I'm saying that psychology's role is still lousy and marketing's spectator sport isn't "how do I custom design ads that work" but instead "what is the cheapest agency to reach the ultimate number of likely targets".

EBAY which is better for selling...auctons or stores which do general public progress for on ebay?

Question:
i went on ebay and just anyne had bids on the auctions so do they tend to steer towards the stores?

Answer:
you'll definitley obligation auctions. Stores appear after the very closing search result within the auctions, so unless you already have a ample clientele, you would go for auctions. You can also use auctions to direct traffic to your store.

put most of it away for college and a nice cozy apartment, give a million to my parents and sister, put sum surrounded by the bank and probably sum collective for cancer reasearch
keep 1 million and the next of kin to my parents
if i were contained by the miss america beauty pageant, i would vote that i would put it towards world peace or give it to charity, but i probably wouldn't. 10% would walk to my tithing in church, later half would stir into my college account and some would jump towards my dog, and the rest would go towards a shopping spree at the precinct or ross
Pay off existing debt. Set aside money for my childrens college. Buy something extravagant for my wife and for myself. Invest the rest. Live time to the fullest with the happiness of being debt free.

count my blessings~

In what ways do you feel department stores could develop own-brand products for the adjectives?

Question:
own-brand product aslo called private-labe brand, usually used contained by supermarket retailer, such as Tesco,Sainsbuyrs.etc.The purpose of my question is to read between the lines consumer's attitude about the use of own-brand strategy contained by department store retailer.
Thank you for your answer

Answer:
Own Brands now occupy around 45% of key supermarket shelf space in the UK. This is worrying because few of these retailers flaunt and therefore enjoy a high cost dominance over manufacturers. Another cost benefit is that their own brands are often made and sold to them at marginal costs. Consumers benefit but as stated by another respondent above, consumers see them as low cost, low competence so there are restrictions to further shelf space expansion in own brands. On a personal plane, I find most own brand food products to be either bland or simply too salty. Onr also have concerns about how the retailers control feature.

Historically, Henri Nestle was the first food producer to create his own brand. Before that adjectives grocery products were sold within sacks and weigh out by the retailer with frequent adulteration such as accumulation chalk powder to flour. Today, there are copious small to medium sized producers who do not hold a brand and who produce exclusively for the major stores so they will be comfortable to see own labels expand. But consequently, branded goods producers whose shelf space is continually shrinking will not be festive that own labels ride on the put a bet on of their expensive advertising.

Promotion strategies can be described as "pull" and "push". Some events pull consumers into stores looking for unmarked products or couponed products and "push" strategies are designed to move the products off the shelves. Retailers near own brands enjoy the benefits of both at no cost. But branded produce manufacturers entail the retailers more than the retailers need them

While retailers must stock brand leaders to draw within consumers, they do not really need lesser brands. Manuufacturers of branded goods find that something resembling 95% of their sales budge through fewer than 500 companies and the other 5% is sold through thousands of smaller firms. Clearly, the big retailers hold the thrash hand (although nearby was a time something like 20 years ago when Tesco stopped buying Nescafe but had to pocket it back after six months owing to consumer demand).
I'd close to stores to offer come-- rear cards. If you come back you grasp something free. Or if so many holes are punched on the card you can obtain a higher discount for individual a good customer.
The brand doesn't event.
Own-brand used to be regarded as cheap but you will thought that many supermarkets hold a range of own-brands from meaning through to luxury - as we begin to trust the supermarket as a brand we trust what they market with their cross on it - just look at the nouns of M&S food.

If you want to do some research then www.spideybiz.co.uk have loads of useful sites to look at.

How to build a downline?

Question:
how do you build a good downline for your affiliate programs? i hold told family and friends but what else can i do?

Answer:
All business are NOT like peas in a pod. many organization are affiliated with Quixtar, but TEAM have been the number one surrounded by growth for 7 years. Its because of their business training system and the way they build their community. If you swot up the system, the system runs your business. The success of your business is not dependent solitary on your efforts but Team hard work. And the one who performs is the one who make the money and NOT the person who coupled before them. Their is no ranking. Everyone has equal opportunity for success but not everyone is liable to put in the work to win there
If you are struggling later why are you embarrassing yourself by trying to suck contained by your friends and family.

Do you want them to fall short as well?

You should build your "downline" first later you have some evidence that this will work if you keep hold of at it to show your family and friends.

I do not similar to mlm systems and only the top dogs go and get all the flash perk and trips.

You may want to try to make a living some other opening if you cant make it that instrument.

Hope that helps
I've followed a simple system that have worked effectively for me - you can read about it at

Advertising Charge For New Business?

Question:
I am writing a paper on price. Our product is software which you can use to survey new releases and ripened movies. There will be some 20 sec advertisement beforehand the movie starts. How much you think it should be?

Answer:
The classic formula is CPM - cost per thousand viewers. Many medium are priced this way, directly or indirectly. The actual $ per CPM is influenced by factor like who the target audience is, the demographics of the viewers, experience of advertisers over time etc.

To start near you could check with local the media, and national magazines that are nonspecific interest. Call the advertising sale department and ask for a rate card, and if they don't have specific CPM pricing, it's undemanding to figure out or you could a short time ago ask the sales rep.

The most direct comparison obviously is TV ads, you should also telephone call the local network affiliates and draw from their rates for prime time movie type ads.

Good luck
Scott

How could you ensure that whilst surrounded by charge of a website that adjectives change be made and no page be missed?

Question:
This is in relation to a generous financial company. If you needed to make sure adjectives the rates were correct and relevant page were at hand how would you achieve this? (interview question)

Answer:
If it's a big company they'll want to hear adjectives about your project and process disciplines.

1. A confirmed enumerate of the pages requested to be changed along next to the changes - approved by the character in charge of that content / bit of the website

2. The signing off of requested change against the pre-production or 'staging' server. If they don't have one or more of these afterwards tell the interviewer that he/she should have another look at asking such a question. This work is typically done by someone different than the pattern developer and change requester - the 'QA' role ('Quality Assurance')

3. That the change are moved live and the change request signed sour by the developer doing the work, the QA checker and the original requester, consequently stored.

The above relates to non-dynamic content, e.g the home page welcome schoolbook for example. Very labourious, but this is undoubtedly the dilgence they'll be looking for in a big financial corporation.

Content resembling rates (currencies for example) are probably coming in on a datafeed and will continually coppers. Your challenge surrounded by that case is one of have decent code to detect errors, missing facts, anomolies such as data falling outside an adjectives range etc.

Finally you should also be aware that if the company is regulated by the FSA, they will own an obligation to maintain all or most of their trellis content for up to 7 years. A decent archiving system is hence critical.
Look in the server folder where on earth all the page are and check to make sure adjectives pages be dated/time stamped in indistinguishable time frame/date...the date of the change. Easiest channel.

Mike

======================
Well, I can suggest that you do a check called broken links check surrounded by the software which you are using to design your website..It shows what links /hyperlinks you have missed and which are not related properly.See the chart and implement the corrections.Once the links are correct the calculations should turn out correct.
Hi. Not sure if your enquiry is from a technical IT angle and/or a marketing angle, but I would also ensure that a double check is put surrounded by place with the marketing/e-commerce squad especially when rate changes are involved. All change to FSA reg'd sites should be checked for rates/charges as any misprint can be detrimental.

Sure , because when you use your home page on the traffic exchanges sites G00GLE will close your vindication so you will not get any money from that ,2ND associates doesn't like to see other advertisement at start ... so make the splash page and a moment ago put your logo and some welcome intro to grasp people to the most important site and start making money ,.

Good luck .
No. Splash/Gateway pages be effective rear in '98 and '99. They are a fritter away today.

Starting small marketing/promo comp, how much does a marketing company charge & what services they provide?
Question:
I am starting my own marketing and promotions company doing pluggers, flyers, creating logos and getting the word out about events. I am obviously starting out small. How are prices accesed, what services are offered? Just need more standard information detailed for a self starting marketing promotions company! THanks

Answer:
There are lots of models to choose from:
- Joint Venture / commission / % deals
- Hourly rate + expenses
- Fee for a package service
- Cost per thousand media deliver
and lots of variations contained by between.

But your bigger question is more key, and really you're asking about "what works?" and "what do I put on the market. " My advice is to pick a specific service that reliably produces results for you clients. For example, using flyers to promote sale - get it down to a science, so it's repeatable and predictable and you own great references and know how to go it. Then look for more things to do / sell.

Good luck.
So, you're more of a design company than a marketing company. Depending on your clients, you can charge hourly or agree on a bag and charge one fee for that. Make sure your client is clear on what's included contained by that package though. 3 comps, 2 revisions, so on and so forth. I am a clear designers specialized in lofty tech marketing. I charge about 65 to 85 per hr. I judge that's about the median going price now. Unless, you're phenomenal with awesome connections, next you could probably charge whatever.

email and online marketing is the direction most companies are head these days. There's still a want for flyers and postcards but in my experience, they are typically used contained by conjunction with some sort of electronic marketing.

Good luck!
I'm a freelance marketing consultant. The answer is it depends on which market you want to approach, who your contacts are and what your expereience is. Really good pictographic designers offering full design work from brochures to corporate imagery and branding and websites charge arond $100- $120/hour Australian. Well spelt, grapmatically correct and benefit orient copywriting that sells effectively is arond $80-$100 per hour. But most home start-ups dealing beside the odd brief and small business charge abot $60-$80 per hour or charge a per job/project quote. When I started out I charged $65 /hour for consultancy, marketing planning, design brokerage and copywriting, but I got so inundated next to referral work that now I business with prevailing conditions sized enterprises and charge between $90-$120 per hour. i hold been surrounded by the game for a while, enjoy heaps of contacts and also have post grad recommendation, so it is now approapriate to charge at an upper smooth. i also pick my clients carefully and enjoy effectively differentiated myself so that potential clients see that what I offer is different. I'd approach the surrounding substance sized enterprise market who won't bicker on price so much, start with a lower price until you attain the level of work you want next up your fees as you get clients feeling like to pay more and your experience grows.
