For example, a web site repeating duplicate meta keyword several times may have its ranking decrease by a search engine trying to remove this practice, though that is unlikely. It's more credible that a search engine will cut the meta keyword element completely, and most do regardless of how heaps words used in the thing.
Some search engines such as G00GLE will display the schoolbook specified in the content of the META description marker for a page in their result listings. This allows the webpage author to bestow a more meaningful description for listings than might be displayed if the query engine was to automatically create its own description base on the page content.
