Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

As a marketing special own be asked to push for the senior supervision of a contemporary internet company they own ask

Question:
you to
a) explain how the economist and the accountant mighty contribute to the pricing decision surrounded by company such as this new internet company.

Answer:
The accountant is essentially going to look at the numbers and any trends in the assets and debit, then determine a "neutral price" over a few years (5 or 10 is common).

The economist is going to be looking at supply and demand numbers, formulae, projections (using econometric analysis), opportunity costs and operating costs.

So how might the accountant contribute to the pricing declaration? He wants everything to set off out and will use some basic economics formulae to arrive at a price.

The economist will be using the constraint and supply data supplied to him/her and be using more advanced monetary formulae to arrive at a price.

Perhaps before the unknown Internet company is bought/formed/sold whatever is contained by mind for it, ask yourself, or have the senior managment determine if the company contained by question have anything unique to submit the market that the marketplace wants (very high-ranking demand, drastically low supply). If not, could it be made that way? I'm freshly looking at it from a marketing viewpoint surrounded by addition to an economist's and accountant's position.

Hope this helps. Take comfort.

Please what are souk potential and probability? Please beside example so I can understand… thank you?

Question:

Answer:
they are just what they say-so they are.

Market potential the maximum market for the product. Lets voice you sell widgets for $1 respectively. There are 1,000 customers in your bazaar area respectively has the potential of buying 2. Your open market potential is 2 X $1,000 X $1 = $2000.

The reality is you are not going to put up for sale to everyone. Lets say singular 1 out of 4 actually buys your product. Your probablity later is 2 X 250 X $1 = $500

The 250 is 1/4 of the 1000. The customers still buy 2 each time and they still flog for $1 each.

Hope that help
Market potential - Eskimos don't have refrigerators so that souk potential is large for selling refrigerators.

Market probability - Eskimos don't enjoy electricity, so the probability of selling them refrigerators is low.

what is the impact of culture within modern selling?

Question:
cultural dimensions in modern promotion and its impact

Answer:
Using cultural value as a tool to boost Dutch auction is a tactic called Capitalist Realism. Coca-cola's advertisement are examples. Captialist Realism Advertising makes consumers buy more stuff because they discern appeal to the value which advertisers embed within thier messages. That's a part of what I get in class.
I'm going to pilfer a stab in the threatening and say that this is for a serious newspaper. Without an understanding of the range of the paper, the height & standard of expected submission, I can only impart you ideas for your discussion.

Standpoint: The significance of culture on promotion is extensive due to the impact of culture on communications.

You should begin tackle this question next to an examination of culture. What is it and what does it be determined you. Is it simply a group phenomenon, comprised of individual personalities which are largely explained by collective social values, beliefs and histories which are mutually exclusive of one another?

What are the implication of culture on a global society? How does this impact upon media hype.

Go on to explore how advertising have evolved in recent history. The redundancy of mass marketplace advertising eg 30 second TV spots around the sphere, DPS's in the Fourth Estate etc and then walk on to look a modern advertising and its focus on relationship building, outdoor marketing, fragmented marketing and database building etc.

Also hold a look at ads which own failed miserably around the world. These are most repeatedly American ads as explanation managers founder to understand the impact of culture on society to make a contribution you an idea, Fortune 500 type companies will commonly have at smallest one of these in the closet.

While citizens of persuaded English speaking countries may consume McDonalds and Coca Cola, watch Lost and drive a Ford, it doesn't brand them American and the purchasing of expensive prime time spots in other English speaking countries to broadcast ad that were massively successful at the Superbowl doesn't show that they will be massively successful elsewhere. In most cases the locals will not understand the flier; it will play repetitively for quite some time and will across the world piss people rotten creating negative brand equity for the company within question. I would distribute you examples, but it's your paper, so I will resign from it up to you.

Good Luck.

Is Advertising Art?
Question:

Answer:
Yes. It is the art of moving minds to take a undisputed action. Good media hype is extremely skillful. It is like juggle. The advertiser has to keep up the reader's attention while trying to convince him to spend his money on something he didn't know he needed.

This is done by firing the reader's imagination, telling him a story, and appealing to his self interest.

Kind regard,
amadeus
Yes, advertising is an art that man get to learn at a immensely young age. We revise it for the first time when we try to persuade our parents to buy as a offering for the holiday. We try to persuade our parents to allow us to run for a vaction with a group of friends. The more creative you are, the more interesting thinking you get. Creativity is innate and media hype is just the output. Let your creative juice flow and celebrate the spirit of hype.
yes!
Management is both art and science.
Advertising being a part of a set of management - is also both art and science.

Advertising is almost making a science out of an art form. It has to influence both, the vanished side and the right side of the brain, to create an impact.

Advertising is not art for art’s sake. It is responsible for giving clients tangible returns on huge investments. The more selling folk glorify the art form, the smaller number relevant it becomes to customers. Clients are below severe pressure from their managements to deliver. They need to convince their boards that the money have been ably invested. It is sales and profits — not exposure creative awards — that will make or break their career. They need reassurance, they want conviction, and they need results. These can individual be delivered through a proven and logic-based process.

More than make smaller the credibility of an online store, I would think twice surrounded by putting a.d.s.e.n.s.e ads on a store because of competition. Instead of buying from you, your people might be tempted to click on an trailer and instead of buying from you, go to your competitor instead.

It depends on how defining conversion is to you and how you want to improve your conversion, but putting a.d.s.e.n.s.e is emphatically leakage. It depends also on how sensible that visitor to you and what is the cost of getting that company (e.g. do you use pay per click -- if so, does the a.d.s.e.n.s.e income compensate for the lost sale?)

I have be with a.d.s.e.n.s.e since June 2003, and when I see an online store next to a.d.s.e.n.s.e, my first impressions are:

- this site is confused with its business model (is it ecommerce or information publishing)
- this site is not selling its products and they must hold ads to compensate for their poor sale
- or like Amazon, this site is diversifying their revenue sources and desires to get the best of both worlds by earn from product sales and exposure

I suggest you learn from Amazon and how they stress their products more than their ads. But obviously, it really depends on what you want for your site -- whether you want to earn from selling your product or earn from advertising

The TV advertisment seems to suggest that and since they are bound to deliver what they push under the Trade Descriptions Act 1968...

Answer:
No, this would come beneath the ambit of mere advertiser's puff in contract decree, like 'Probably the best lager surrounded by the world' and 'You can't get fitter than a Kwikfit fitter'. Statements which aren't strictly true but are for selling purposes only.

Hope that help!
Hi

To answer step by step I need to know what html editor you are using.

There are three prevalent metatags- one of which strictly isn't a metatag. This one , the first, is called the "Title" ticket and goes at the top of the "Head" part of the Html code. It is the "Title" of the page and should also contain at least the most major keyword for the page. This is simply the title of your page and what appears at the top of the browaser window.e.g. the browser glass I have amenable now say "I'm lost when it comes to metatags" It also forms the clickable link that you click on contained by the results in the furrow engine.

The other is the description metatag which is basically a description of what the page is almost. It should also contain the keywords.

Then other is the keyword metatag which isn't used much by search engines anymore- at the moment. It is simply a index of the keywords on the page e.g is it about network design? What else is mentioned? Synonyms of your keywords could be included as well as plural and singualr forms.

If you share me what Html editor you use e,g, Dreamweaver I can give you step by step instructions. It is also probably for a while complicated to go into here but if you email me on cpschmidt29@yahoo.com.au I can provide more info on how to formulate your tag. There is heaps of info on the web as okay just G00GLE for Title Tag, Description Metatag, and keyword metatag.

I run a net development and multimedia company.

Need to track top 20 referring sites of traffic to www.gofish.com for final 90 days to fathom out their spike?

Question:
It is important for me to grasp the sources of services you use to determine the top 10 referring sites of traffic to the website www.gofish.com. In the last month, the sites traffic have spiked dramatically, but there doesn't appear to be any through changes to the site. I would close to to compare the top twenty referrers of traffic and how much of their traffic is being provided from these top 20 sites. By comparing for the month of November and October and September, it will allow me to isolate the source of traffic for their site. It is possible that this traffic is a short time ago coming from natural growth, but the spike seem to indicate that the traffic is just anyone driven by a specific site. I am first looking to know the service or services or tools you use to determine this if that is available. You are warmth to provide any additional analysis on this info.

Answer:
You should find everything you stipulation in the server logs-
If you hold access to them, that is...

If not, you will inevitability the url and a username/password combo to view the stats. In most stats packages such as web-ststa, webtrends, webalizer (the one my server uses) etc... you will find a block of "user agents" that will describe you how many times robots or spiders hold hit the site.

It could be that the spike in traffic is coming from G00GLE, yahoo, msn, etc. adjectives at once, but it may indicate something more sinister as well. Is at hand an open email relay or network form that may be being abused for example? You will enjoy to eyeball the logs to find out.

Hope this helps!
