Other opening that I've thought about is to use your book near ad's on the last page. (but not ad's similar to "looking for a date", but presenting a company profile, or similiar). So if you negotiate a 2 or 3 local companies, or even the book press that you are using to print the book you can negotiate a drop in the book price for you self, or a commission for you. Try charging on a agency similiar to the "pay per click" method. Maybe recompense per view :)
This method you can make your book price drop, and still earn a dignified profit for you. Actually in my country in that is a whole city that works next to this pattern - every bench, picnic basket, trash container is as good as unknown, just because near is the name of some local company on it ;)
And ultimate, but not least, you must negotiate someone to deal in your book, that way you will be something approaching supplier. The local bookstore is a good mode to start :)
