Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

Can anyone please pass me some warning on my website- bargainsbygenniecorp.com ? If you can , THANK YOU !?

Question:

Answer:
I think the overall design and layout of your site is great, it looks unbelievably professional. The average viewer pulls up a
website, and spend smaller number than 10 seconds to prefer whether to stay or move on to another site. You must ask yourself, does my site hold the 'wow' factor that would make somebody want to stay on my site.

For the audience your trying to attract, I'm not sure if black be a good color choice for the backgroud. You can never step wrong with a plain white and of late adjusting your bold workbook colors to blue, pink, and so on.

I would also suggest placing products down your right column instead of the bottom of the page and more on the middle section. The layout is extremely defining so you want to insure your viewers gets as much info almost your site on there first glimpse.

Since your selling products, it would be a obedient idea to place a secured checkout decoration or text on your homepage, something that tell the customer that if they purchase an item from your site they wont have to verbs about near credit card information.

Another suggestion is, find a well established online store and look at what type of information is on in attendance homepage, what there layout is approaching, and try to reflect some of that on your own site.

Hope this help!
Very classy and elegant. Good layout. Although I thought it might be better contained by some brighter colours instead of black. Maybe like murky pink or something. But then again its me. And if you obligation some help to promote your site for free consider these below .

Question:
I know that to increase my visability on search enginges, I call for reciprocal links. I've also been warn to stay away from "link farms". So, how do I move about about getting links?

Answer:
You find websites that you close to and trade links with them. You can also buy reciprocal links (via text-link-ads.com) or other interconnect ad sites...only search G00GLE, and you'll find these services. I suggest trading links is the best bet though.

You can also submit your website to online directories.

Godaddy is honest if you are looking for cheap domains. but make sure you dont conclusion up buying something that you dont require. thats because, they suggest you a domain for as low as $9 but add within lot of opt-out features, which you have to manually verbs, or else they will adjectives add upto some bigger amount.

but if you are looking for reliable, dependable aspect hosting - go for dreamhost.com or siteground.com they own excellent support too. which really matters once you own your site set up.
I suggest just4sites.com . They host 7 sites for me and I never have any sort of problems. I find domain name and hosting for $30 a year!

Don't Make These Web Hosting Mistakes by Carson Danfield of http://SevenDollarSolution.com

Many population, especially newcomers, when they register their domain name, are convinced to sign up for a hosting account beside the company that registered their domain name. That could be godaddy.com, yahoo.com or any number of other domain entitle registering companies. That's really unfortunate, because the hosting services those population usually get don't largely meet the wishes of an online entreprenuer. Those hosting accounts just denial the functionality you really need to promote your business.

Here's what happen - the domain name registering companies will take home you an offer of a low smooth hosting plan. Since the customers that are registering the domain names are usually beginners, they aren't aware of adjectives the hosting choices that are readily available elsewhere. They ruminate that just because the company they're dealing near can register domain names, they must own the best hosting too.

To make a long story short, population that buy into the hosting that's offered when they register their domains are usually disappointed once they get started near their new online business. Although they get what seemed approaching a low price, they'll find out later, when they compare it to other offer, that it really wasn't such a good deal.

But that's one and only part of the problem. As they become more and more involved surrounded by running their new online business, they discover that in attendance may be some special software that they want to run on their website. Perhaps it's a shopping cart or possibly a content management system. When they look at the requirements of the software and compare those requirements to their hosting justification, they'll see that their hosting account won't support the spanking new software. You see, most marketing related software will use PHP or mySQL databases. If your web hosting article doesn’t support PHP and mySQL, you’re just out of luck.

Of course, these customers can jump back to their hosting provider, who will explain to them that the features required for support of the unsullied software are available to them, but they'll have to 'upgrade' their hosting information. And the upgrade isn't free, by the way. Their productive hosting may have cost one and only $7.95 a month, but the new, upgraded hosting will cost them $25 or $30 a month. Now, adjectives of the sudden, that great hosting deal doesn't seem to be so great anymore.

Don't waste your time and money near 'bargain' web hosting that won't do the brief.

Another mistake is trying to run your business with free hosting. First of adjectives, if you’re looking for free web hosting because you’re not predisposed to spend a small amount of money for your own web hosting picture, you might as well only give up right in a minute. If you want to do everything for free, you’re not looking for a real business, you’re looking for a hobby.

Usually, when you run with free hosting, your website URL will conclude up being something similar to "http://freehosting.megacities.com/18987/... If your only interest is within having a place on the network to display your family photos, perchance the free hosting is right for you. But if you're trying to run a business, the free hosting can be a big handicap. For one thing, the URL doesn't look completely professional.

And the free hosting companies tend to display their own advertising banner on the pages of your website. How does that look to your potential customers? Just interpret that if you're trying to operate a family orient business and when prospects visit your website, banner advertising "Adult Chat Rooms" are on your page.

Types of web hosting - Primarily, nearby are 2 different types of web hosting. One is Microsoft Windows base and the other is Linux/Unix based. My personal guidance is to stay away from the Windows based hosting. I've have friends that went beside Windows hosting, and then after that found out that much of the software they wanted to run wasn't compatible beside the Windows server. Most all trellis based software explicitly used for marketing purposes is designed to run on Linux servers, so I wouldn't recommend anything other than Linux base hosting.

Now that we've established the need for Linux base hosting and that you shouldn't get hosting from one and the same place you registered your domain, the question is - Where do you draw from hosting?

I'm going to let you contained by on a little covert - all those ensign ads and email messages you probably see pitching hosting deal - IGNORE THEM. The absolute best hosting I've see is available at dirt cheap prices on Ebay. Yes, Ebay, the online auction.

Just go to www.ebay.com and hunt for "web hosting reseller" By getting a reseller's hosting justification, you'll get adjectives the hosting you'll ever need. Here's how it works - A reseller's hosting portrayal gives you the handiness to sell hosting accounts to other ethnic group. One of the benefits of a reseller account is that you can usually host an unlimited number of domains.

Right in a minute you may be thinking this isn't for you because you're not interested in selling hosting to other populace. You just want hosting for your own business. That's OK, you don't necessitate to sell hosting next to the reseller's account. You can of late use it for yourself. You can use it to host the new domain that you only just registered and then, subsequent on, if you register more domain names, you can host those also - lacking paying any more money for hosting.

I bought a hosting reseller's account on Ebay roughly 3 years ago. It's full featured, reliable, and the service and support is great. I pay cheque $139 a year and I currently have in the region of 95 domains hosted. Do the math - that works out to a little over a dollar per year for hosting that have everything I need. I feel that's a pretty good treaty.

If you don't want to get a reseller's commentary, you can get by even cheaper. I enjoy another hosting account I bought at Ebay that singular hosts a single domain, but it only costs 75 cents a month. This 75 cent article supports PHP, mySQL, has unlimited space and bandwidth, unlimited email accounts and only about everything else you could estimate of.

I strongly recommend that you check out the hosting offers on Ebay in the past you make any other commitments. Here are the features you want to get sure your hosting has -

1) Linux base web server
2) CPANEL admin control. This is the trellis based admin where on earth you can check traffic stats, setup mySQL databases, setup email accounts and a whole lot more
3) Fantastico - This is an installation aid that's really handy to enjoy. It allows you to automatically install several high powered software applications beside just a single mouse click. Want a WordPress blog? Click and you hold it, ready to roll. Want an online forum - same promise, click and it's there. Catalog and shopping pushcart - You guessed it, click and you'll have it.

It go without maxim that you should check the seller's feedback on Ebay before you engender any commitment. See what other customers have to influence about the service. You want to construct sure you're dealing with someone that's reputable.
There are various host companies. More then you can see in your mind`s eye. Some are run out of persons home that hold servers, others are big companies. But ...you get what you take-home pay for, and sometimes the cheapest is not the best. You need a host company i.e. secure, that have redundt servers so if a server goes down, you are not lost as in that are backups. Much is to be considered. I other use, and have referred my clients to www.godaddy.com Very defensible, very safe and sound and trustworthy
I use Netfirms for all my hosting and recommend them to my clients.

How does G00GLE a.d.sense determine what is apposite traffic and what is low point traffic? What are some examples

Question:

Answer:
Example of low quality traffic is Trafficswarm and adjectives those 100,000 hits for only $29.99 scheme.

Low quality traffic is traffic that you capture for the heck of getting those 100,000 hits, never mind if those 100,000 hits are not even remotely interested in what your site is adjectives about or what your content is or what you enjoy to offer. They merely need to click on the links they are presented -- one of which is your site -- surrounded by order that they take the points that will allow others to click on their site as well.

It is useless traffic because the people are not interested in your site. That ability these "visitors" will not even look at your content -- much less the ad. Majority of these "visitors" will not even go bygone your homepage. G00GLE thinks it is a disservice to their advertisers as in that is no chance that these those will be genuinely interested surrounded by the ads.

Yahoo Publishers Network is even stricter within defining low quality traffic, as it is agreed to kick out publishers where on earth the bulk of their traffic comes from MySpace. YPN thinks MySpace traffic is crap and removes those publishers that depend on MySpace.
Yes, sometimes we cant determine which traffic or marketing programme is biddable in power. And we become victim & loose a.d.s.e.n.s.e.

Affiliations beside online cellular stores?

Question:
are these places actually legit. when they enunciate free to join and stuff close to that, is it actually free? is adjectives your really paying for is the way you publicize your website? do they really give you your own website? if anyone here is in actuality an affiliate of one of these companies, i would really like a response from you.

places resembling: www.inphonic.com
www.gainamerica.com
www.cognige.com

Answer:
Free, maybe. But don't believe you'll earn plentifully of money. Any earnings surrounded by affiliate programs are dependent on how much business you drive and you won't drive any business unless you drive traffic to your site. Not easy to do, and the percentage of population who click through is tiny. A nice supplement if you plan to have a website for other reason, but not a real source of income otherwise.

What are the limitations of typologies of bazaar segmentation towards tourism?

Question:
will it influence the tourism industry becoming more or less sophisticated within its use of market segmentation?

Answer:
The concept of prejudging the tourism market via the utilization of stereotypical analysis is a poor, except flawed way of target certain demographic groups. What logic would be employed?
By breaking the potential travelers into sub-catagories such as see, ethnicity, gender, geographical strata, or monetary divisions, one is limiting the scope of mixed media campaign and promotional programs that could have issue a wider path to encompass a greater souk.
Sophistication is not the relative factor. The practice of directing an approach toward a small market sector now and then works in an industry beside such a broad appeal as tourism. Who decides which group benefits the most from which type of public relations technique?
In summary, typecasting within this industry is far more detrimental to the advertiser and the receiver alike, with neither acquirement a reasonable outcome that can be used for adjectives planning or successful tracking.

Can anybody explain the Skittles flier beside the singing rabbit?

Question:
Does it mean anything? Is it an inside practical joke? Is it even actual advertising? Does anyone contained by the business even know who David Ogilvy and Bill Bernbach are?

All I can get from it is that a rabbit that never stops singing and might possibly get rabies is less desirable than Skittles. I wonder how much research go into developing that positioning.

Answer:
Well, um, a Rabbit with rabies that never stops singing is probably smaller quantity desireable than accidentally putting a staple through your fingers. :)

As for me, I thought the commercial was funny, but I regard they should have finished it differently. I think they should hold ended it, beside one of two things. Either:
1. The rabbit jumps out the guy's arms and he comes hindmost with his entire singing family unit and they don't leave.
or
2. The rabbit lives surrounded by a hole that's right under the guy's bedroom windowpane. And the commercial shows it going into it's hole and singing away. :)

Anyway, to try and explain the commercial...
I think the target was one guy have skittles and the other had the singing rabbit. The guy near the skittles traded his skittles for the singing rabbit, thinking he could get rich for this rabbit near this amazing talent. Then, realizing that the rabbit never STOPS singing, he wishes he could trade it support. Then, the ending is a moment ago funny, that he loses the rabbit and his Skittles. :) That's what I got out of it. :)

Anyway, hope this explanation help something. :P
Do you have a relationship for it so we can see it and then comfort you to understand it ?
David Ogilvy (a copywriter and true public relations legend) founded Ogilvy & Mather - later to be call O&M and now simply Ogilvy - one of the biggest and best agencies surrounded by the world !
Bill Bernback was a copywriter par excellence - he formed DDB (Doyle Dane Bernback) which is presently also one of the big worldwide agencies in the world. His untimely heralded work includes greats such as Volkswagen and Levy's.
Check out any at
http://www.ogilvy.com/
and
http://www.ddb.com/
I'm always relating my wife, if you think an trailer is stupid or confusing, then you aren't the audience it's expected for (even if you think you are.) There are those out there watching this announcement saying "Yes, that's great, I gotta gain some Skittles", but if you are wondering about the description, then sit rear and wait for an advert that speaks to you.

On the other hand, possibly you ARE the audience and the purpose of the ad is to take you to scratch your director and wonder for a couple days about the public notice, then buy some Skittles anyway. It could be one of a series of ad that are explained as the ads nouns, something like that-a teaser cause. More research goes into these ad than you think. Even the ones you suppose suck work with the folks they are targeted to. Mmmm Skittles...
I think the guy next to the rabbit has a scam where on earth he goes around trading his rabbit for skittles, knowing that the being will take the rabbit vertebrae to him. He trained it to bite and return to him when the new owner returns to his house, allowing him to procure free skittles whenever he wants.

I individually think it's pretty funny, a short time ago because of the noise the rabbit make and for the sheer randomness of it.

What is the best computer for creative public relations (graphic design, audio, video) and essential software?

Question:
I'm in the souk for a new computer, which I plan to use surrounded by creative advertising. I be wondering what others in the paddock are currently using in vocabulary of hardware and software -- essentially, I'm interested in what is considered "top of the line" contained by 2007 for advertising professionals.

I hold pretty much every piece of Adobe software from the late 90's, and am positive I want to purchase their newer version.

In respect to layout software like QuarkXpress, is this still self used for advertisements or have InDesign taken over?

All in adjectives, I'm looking to spend around $1500 to $2000 total for hardware and software (I also get a student discount for Apple's online store.) I realize this won't allow the purchase of a Mac Pro desktop and Adobe Creative Suite 3, but I integer there enjoy to be other scaled-down Macs that can get the commission done. Would a suped up MacBook be ideal, if so.. which one?

Any proposal would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Mac are the best
I'm running my small graphic design business
from the smalles Mac Book, the $1099.00 one. And supports unscrew Fireworks and Dreamweaver (graphics and web programs), while i chat on Yahoo messenger and browse the internet. A PC can't do that. Imaging what a more spencive mac can do!! Wow!!
Well Mac's are distinctly the tool of choice. I might suggest you ask this on a Mac forum, here are a couple I found with something like 10 seconds on G00GLE:

Yahoo mail have all that (except to-do list but it has notepad), built surrounded by, for free. And it synchronizes with your pda.

"best" is up to you - in attendance are lots of tools out there approaching this. I use Palm Desktop because I'm used to it and it works with my phone.
Both yahoo and G00GLE own web-based calenders that are free. I use G00GLE and my daughter uses the yahoo one. We both like them and would recommend any of them.
