How do you come up near online media hype pricing?

Question:

Answer:
When I was doing this (a few years ago) I did seriously of research online to see what other sites that were similar charged for their trailer space (this was for newsletters by the way). I also used a rough formula of number of subscribers times expected click through rate - 8,000 (subscribers) x .035 (3.5 percent click through rate) = 280 (expected click throughs).

I had the following information for potential advertisers - Total number of subscribers, expected click through rate (from internal ads), and expected total number of click throughs. I completed up setting up the advertising rates base on the number of subscribers per newsletter (we had 22 different newsletters going out, four of which go to over 250,000 people).

So, if a business or person looked-for to advertise a form related product or service in our form newsletter, I could send them the following:

The newsletter have a subscriber base of 8,000 and have experienced a general increase surrounded by subscribers of 2.5% per month. To advertise surrounded by the next monthly newsletter, the cost would be $10 per 1,000 subscribers for a set book ad, $30 per 1,000 subscribers for a partly banner want ad, and $45 per 1,000 subscribers for a full banner commercial.

Your ad should result surrounded by about 280 qualified, organized to buy click throughs, and will be seen by adjectives of the newsletter readers, tons of which may visit your site at a latter date.

So, for a text want ad the cost would be $80, a half-banner ad would cost $240, and a full emblem ad would cost $360. The advert would remain in the database of the newsletter for three months, so anyone reading the newsletter at a then date would also see the ad.

This worked remarkably well for us, especially since we could not use adwords surrounded by the newsletters.

My best advice to you is to do a ton of research on what the current "average" rates are, and if adjectives else fails, sign up for G00GLE's a.d.s.e.n.s.e as explicitly what is working best for my personal site currently.

I want to start selling on Ebay anybody have some fitting tips for a trainee?

Question:
would want advice from someone near Ebay selling experience...thanks

Answer:
I sold items for a year on ebay after closing a retail shop I owned for 3 years. I after ended up selling items for others.

Here's my warning....in short anyways since I'm pressed for time.

Run 7 daylight auctions...starting around 7 pm Eastern Sunday to Sunday.

Start bidding at 99 cents!

Flat rate shipping via Priority Mail (use flat rate boxes or other....and always tack on a dollar or more for handling payment...which most buyers expect...to cover cost of packaging materials beyond the free boxes you can procure at usps.com)

Keep your description to the point and don't ramble on and on. I used the same format for adjectives items I sold and just occupied in the blanks.

Make sure your photos are of the best feature. Photos sell.

Let me know if you hold other questions. (advtglady2005@yahoo.com)
Just bring in sure that you list things within the exact condition that they are in and put a disclaimer at the bottom as far as shipping...i.e. insurance is recommended as I am not responsible for packages once given to usps...or doesn`t matter what you like to that effect. Make sure that you include covering materials and such in your shipping price...I other include an extra $1.50 or so for whatever materials I may entail to ship-i.e. bubble wrap, packing peanuts, boxes etc...good luck to you!
Read the tips on the e-bay site - those will win you going.

Don't list too plentiful items at one time - it can be confusing!

If you get offer to buy before the extension of the auction, or requests to add a "Buy It Now" - politely snub (the one's we've had go for 3-4 times the amounts that were offered!)

Depending on what you are selling, you may own better results with some charitable of return policy - but limit the time. (Basically, everything I trade is "As IS" unless misrepresented we are not experts on our items!)

Search on similar items - it will help you next to pricing. And check the e-bay price fees - you may be better off starting the auction at $9.99 fairly than $10.00

Best of luck!!
Start the biddings from $1.
There are some tools to track your items and maximize the your profit..

Cost Per Click and Sales Conversion; Normal Range?

Question:
Hi:

I'm trying to form some reasonable expectations for internet public relations costs and results. I must be misunderstanding something because I'm having trouble empathy how people breed money selling with usual tools like a.d.s.e.n.s.e.

Its my dint that if you want a good placement using a.d.s.e.n.s.e you inevitability to pay $0.65 to $2.00 per click. Does this nouns right?

While the click-to-sales conversion will vary depening on what you are selling and what traffice you are getting, 0.5% to 2% seem to be the normal span. Is this true?

Assuming you do get a 1% conversion, and your cost per click is $1.00, that suggests to trade one unit of anything you are selling you need to spend $100. Not various products have plenty margin to allow you spend $100/unit on media hype, so I'm guessing some of my figures are instrument off.

Can anyone lease abet me figure out where on earth I'm going wrong?

Thanks

Answer:
Both the CPC and conversion numbers vary widely depending on a huge amount of factor - keyword competitiveness, ad copy, landing page, site offering, optimization. Advertisers wouldn't verbs to go to this okay if there weren't gain to be made, and those conversion numbers would be the most likely nouns on which you're off - plenty of advertisers are achieve much better than a 1% conversion, although it's usually wise to steer clear of the content introduce yourself on most PPC systems, and stick with search out results ads.
The cost on pay-per-click vary. And position of your ads depends too on the countries where on earth you target the ads.

However, there's a road to keep them low or even pay cheque nothing for your pay-per-click ad.

About 60% of the top search engines' blind real estate is devoted to non-paid, "organic" listings

Pay Per Click
It depends on what you are media hype. I have a travel business, and I use several methods of selling. I don't think any one route is the "best". I use a combination of blogs, traffic exchanges, forums, networking communities, Pay-Per-Clicks, Classifieds, in recent times to name a few.

If you are topical to advertising online, I would suggest that you acquire your free copy of the 30-day Internet Success Guide. It will explain all of the resources I described, and more.

You can get hold of it at: http://bluescity.payitforward4profits.co...

You probably already know that it depends on what you want to peddle.

Pay Per Click is cost effective for some, not for others close to mortgage companies (cost is often $15 to $25 per click!)

SEO may be more cost impressive, again it may not be for others like those target popular electronics (SEO cost easily reach six figures+ for highly competitive field like electronics and mortgages)

Social Media - Facebook (http://www.facebook.com) is great if you're target college students. If you are alumni you can get an report for free, then it is singular $5 or so per 10,000 ad impressions and you bring to choose which college you want to target - MySpace (http://www.myspace.com) is another obvious one, profiles are other free and finding the right group to display your niche knowledge could relieve increase traffic -

There are other niche social sites and forums that you would be able to find and contribute in by simply questioning on Yahoo! for your product and add the word "forum".

There is a subsidiary search engine souk too...places like www.enhance.com or www.business.com etc.

Blogging can comfort, especially if you have a niche product or service and you can write okay.

I guess this is a short list...pious luck with your promotion!

I've been a work at home mom for a short time over a year now and found that near are many types of ways that you can flog online.

The biggest thing you want to do is congregate people. You can do so by joining Online Networking Groups. You may want to try setting up a MySpace page and product friends. Ask them as you meet them if they know anyone that may want to pocket advantage of your services or if they know someone who uses your products. You never know until you ask. As you group people, you will never put pressure on them by asking them "Do you know someone who..." because you may freshly run into someone who might. Other sites you could use is Facebook.com, Squidoo.com or Digg.com. You can find groups that may meet online. Some groups post congress schedules within the Business Journal or in your local weekly. Once you join, you can ask question and network.

You can also ballyhoo with sites online. Maybe negotiate a connect exchange with a site by contacting them near your offer.

Other methods are using Safelists and Traffic Exchanges which can be found by googling the words "Safelists" and "Manual Traffic Exchange"... these are usually free services... You own free banner exchange groups available as ably. This is great if you have a site.

I hope these suggestions relief. If you have any further question, I'll do my best to try to answer them.

K. Renee

There are many SEO companies. Some worthy, some bad. This one may not be the best. Look for an SEO site that shows proof of work, is in good health established, has testimonals and so on. This site is not even optimized or designed as an seo prepared site.

As far as page rank...do not look at that becuase page condition on G00GLE bar is updated one and only every 3 months or so and is not how a site gets rank. G00GLE page rank is not the green pole but is baased on their own algorythm which is known to them.

You can do search for an SEO company, but many fitting ones will not appear at the top. Many do not have time to try and gain top placements and several do not want to as they prefer word of mouth, and other means. SEO is not specified by most who need it and advertsing is done differently to attract those possible clients.

SEO will also cost money. Those that proposition really cheap services, like 29 bucks a month to submit a site is a spend of your money. Others will use blackhat tricks such as building doorway pages, buying modern urls, mirror sites and so forth. You need to select a company that will preform adjectives the seo processes correctly so that you do not get disallowed from a search engine. You also hold to work as a team beneficiary with that SEO company. You will inevitability to follow their directions and be willing to put stab and follow through on their work and advise

The Yahoo! Director: https://ecom.yahoo.com/dir/submit/intro/... is different from the Yahoo! go through engine. Directory sites have to be approved by a human anyone at Yahoo!. How to promote sale? Promotons and marketing to generate more sale?

Promotions and marketing is simply getting the word out going on for your products and services. If you are new provider, you enjoy to start by meeting family and asking questions. Asking the sound out "Do you know someone who..." will open some doors to getting prospects and perchance getting that person's curiousity open as to what you are selling.

Talk next to other business people. A appropriate way to run into people is to bond Networking Groups. This can be done locally at your local Chamber of Commerce. You can also go to Networking events which are advertise in your local weekly or through your radio station. If you want to meet inhabitants online, you can do so by setting up a MySpace page, or join other groups close to Facebook.com, Squidoo.com, and Digg.com.

Don't directly advertise your products and services, but ask everyone you know and everyone you unite if they know someone who's looking for your products or services. That's a start.

I hope this helps. If you enjoy any further questions, surface free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

well I've run my own business for 30 yrs the best return be always Yellow page, until this year when they made a total **** up on my advertising. I spent two hours on the phone yesterday and feel like i be talking to a brick wall, they permitted that they had made a mistake but said i be liable for the cost, i don't think this is the path I'd run my business . So if you decide you want to peddle like that, later make sure you ask every give somebody the third degree you can to make sure they haven't missed anything, because they really don't pro your business, just your money. Good luck near getting your name out here.
It's easier (and more importantly cheaper) to sell to an existing client, than 'seduce' a untried one.

I find that direct mail is the best single method to promote sale. It can be as cheap or as expensive as you like, you can do it in-house or obtain an outside agency to do it. I would suggest that an outside agency would be best if the budget allows. But do check references. have a word to some of their current clients if possible to go and get a feel for the company and how they work, as some are WAY better than others!

if you're not sure roughly speaking how direct mail works, next think just about all the cast-offs mail that you attain! Sky and Virgin media constantly stick stuff through my door, the political party stick flyers through my door at election time, and my sandbank always dispatch me stuff about insurance, loans etc etc near my bank statement.

A marketing plan concerning how you plan to be in motion about this would be a dutiful idea. Make sure you stick to it though, esp. timescales and budgets. Check out my source for more info.

Why are manufacture fanatical near plastic and cassette? When my daughter buys a doll, the curls is tape surrounded by place?

Question:
Man! I think they use more cartridge than the cost of the doll! And recently we bought some show for our camera. It is a digital video camera and the film be a small cartridge roughly the size of your thumb and even the lady at the camera dept have trouble opening it!

What is next to these people. I can see covering, but aren't they overdoing it?

Answer:
I know exactly what you mean. You can buy a massively expensive piece of jewelry that will simply be placed in a nice jewelers box, but buy a $10 Barbie and you'll necessitate to get your toolbox out to remove it from adjectives the packaging!
Three reason:

1) They're cheap
2) They're easy to use surrounded by the mftg process
3) Pinheads in legislation preserve passing law forcing them to try to make their products safer so that they don't seize sued into oblivion
I know! To unfold many items, you involve 1) a chain saw 2) a pick axe and 3) a ample mallet. Not to mention a scalpel, to remove adjectives that tape. The twist-ties on toys suck too. And consequently, those 3/4 design boxes, which make it nearly impossible to wrap something if it's a contribution. No wonder gift stacks are so popular. It's not that people are too idle to wrap gifts, it's the stupid 3/4 boxes!
It's just to create the best possible presentation they can. If the hair be messed up, there is a kismet the child would pick a different brand that had neater fuzz.

It's all in recent times presentation.
Okay well I enjoy to agree but with adjectives the safety reason and security issues, most companies enjoy to make sure their product does slide or shift contained by shipping. It's also to help ensure that small things don't achieve broken or get lost inside the box. It's funny it's suppose to be at hand to help you out. Funny how it doesn't aye?
I thought it be to hinder folks from stealing the product. If you can't open it surrounded by the store you aren't as likely to steal it.
As stated above - here are lots of different reasons someone might choose to bunch materials in that carriage. Some are dictated in manufacturing/packaging process. The spike on a dolls head might be tape down because the next process within line might be to enfold in the package/plastic and they wouldn't want the coat out of place to shut down the file. Secondly, theft deterrant is a BIG issue. That's why when you buy a toy (especially!) nearby are all of those rope ties. And, all of the tying and tape keeps the product surrounded by place while shipping -and can prevent breakage, etc.

It certainly is not natural to open up those hermetically sealed blister packs short nearly severing a finger! But -that is what happens when lots of product bring back stolen each afternoon. I think the end stat that I saw was something close to 72% of all store pinching goes out the hindmost door (in other words -employees).
I agree with your frustrations...the smallest most minute things are fastened down seemingly w/o pious reason. But I'm sure nearby are good reason...such as barbie hair getting messed up surrounded by the bumpy distribution process and to scare thieve who are able to produce swift thefts...not a soul wants to struggle next to a camera not far away.
I worked in a department store as a stock boy surrounded by 1990. The problem was the protection guy was stealing the products. When we did inventory within January, there be a lot of loose toys that have no packaging. The kids have removed many things during the Christmas season and the packages be nearly impossible to find. In order to carry credit for these items from the manufacturer, the packages beside their bar codes must be accounted for by the store. The ones that are found next are noted by the persons contained by book keeping for the store. They then must contact the businessman or the company they got the item from and win the okay to write it off. The item next is to be destroyed. For every item's package not accounted for funds the store must pay for it out of the money earn to purchase the next season's merchandise. If plentiful items besides toys have no covering, the store is severely limited contained by how much it can purchase. A lack a hotchpotch can lead customers to other stores costing profits, job, and even store closings. The money made in Spring pays for the merchandise for Summer. The money made contained by Summer pays for the merchandise for Fall. That is why the packaging is so exalted to maintain. If it is torn too desperate that the bar code is not proverbial, the store cannot get credit for it any. Though it is recorded when it come off the truck, you cannot clash a loose product with no carton to the invoice.

Hope it help.
Have you visited Alexa.com?

This site will allow you to enter your site's url for a ranking.
There are software products you can use to find rankings base on the keyword phrases you want to see if you have rankings for. There is http://www.webtrends.com/products/otherp... , but that have a fee and in attendance is a freebie called http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/ran... but can not detail you much about it, or if it is accurate etc.

Alexa is not viable becuase that does not show keyword phrases and is base on only those that use Alexa as their browser. Poor at best

Isn't the DOVE chocolate personal ad overly sexual? The classified ad of the woman on the train, reaching down into her knees, which

Question:
we cannot see until they bring the chocolate candy into view. Doesn't give the impression of being to suggest she's masturbating? Or am I overthinking?

Answer:
Oh, you are thinking just right. This is only an advertising agency's view for selling more chocolate. If it translates into lots of sales, next it worked. If not, well they will try something else.
You seem to be to have profusely of excess time on your hands. Go find something productive to do.
I own yet to see this extraordinary commercial but experience tells me that sex sell. Provacative advertisements work in good health depending on your particular demographic. I believe if an ad was agency over the top, the media would hold a field sunshine with it.

Are we bombarded by too much selling at the present time?

Question:
Is there such a point as too much? Is it happening immediately? Do you avoid buying things because it's over-advertised?

Answer:
yes
and and it's advertisers faults
the more journalists
the more we tune out
and technolgy has made it crop up
TV viewership for males ( young ones ) is wayyy down
as they ipod
do live stuff
and genrally do not watch TV
they play x box ( and hence you see product placement within games, it has be done in movies for a long time, but even after there is a backlash when product placement get blatant )
tivo has allowed users to FF former commericals all together or skip them out length
yet they still try
and to some extent are not as forceful as they used to be
brad loyalty is non exisitant as price drives the product or quality ( witness the heartbreaking decline is USA car maker who have lost genrations of buyer to the better trait yet complex priced japanese )
no.
and if you say so again i am going to duct cassette up your mouth 3m brand style
That is part of enthusiasm and business. If you have a product and you want relations to buy it you need to plug. Though I would say that like mad of Ads are many times not getting their product's point/benefit across.

I don't carry out much, so I buy whatever I want to - selling has no affect on me anymore.
I don't buy brand name if I can find the same article in a no-name brand. I am tired of getting at most 18 minutes of a program and 12+ minutes of media hype. This is especially true of sport oriented programs. yes some of the commercials are funny, but I'm tired of watching the program for 4 minutes next watching 6 minutes of commercials for anything from beer to tampons. No thanks! I numeral if I'm paying for my service I shouldn't have to examine the commercials. IE.) HBO, Showtime etc. (Although I just file a complaint with Showtime for using pop-up advertisement during premium movies.) It is definitely getting out of appendage.
Well let's see...you open up your a scour engine. Out pops an advertisement. You receive ad by your phone...open up an email...in attendance are links to ads...some school have companies logos tag on their gym's entrances...ads on hanger...paper napkins...Neah!!...One means of access is to reciprocate the ads. which process that if you own a business and you pay your bills via communication why not place an ad of your biz rear to the payment envelope?
I income no attention to products that advertisers try to pound into my head!

All of the products that I've come to trust are adjectives into my brain.

I dislike being told something like feminine hygene products, drugs or medication My Doctor has available "purely ask", 1,000 types of cell phone plans, Cars!,Cars!, and more Cars!, Cable, Dish, Insurance, and on and on.....

If I want a product, somehow I and everybody else, knows the ol' favorite, and you don't see them advertise...THEY SELL THEMSELVES! We get bombarded 24/7 near commercials trying to sell us crap we don't want, it's just crap they want to push down our throats. Once and a while you'll see a well brought-up commercial for a new product, later if it's any good at adjectives, that too will disappear. Even entertaining beer commercials are vanishing. But...Hey I already know what generous of beer I like, I've be insured for 40 years, I stay clear of people beside herpes, Love the car I drive and hold no need for a tube of Vagisil, so let's procure back to the program already.
