Advertising Marketing Questions and Answers

How can i hype my company for free?

Question:

Answer:
A lot of this depends on what your company provides and who the people are who are most credible to buy what you are selling, but here are some general philosophy.
Go to the business section of the nearest public library and converse to the librarian. He/she should be able to point you to a few resources. The book, "Guerrilla Advertising," comes to mind. You should be able to find several books discussion about no cost or low cost exposure.
While you are there, look at books in the region of public relations as well. (Look surrounded by most general interest magazine, and there is editorial coverage of different products and services. That didn't cost the maker of those stuff and services anything.)
If you are really dedicated, you can revise to write press releases and do this yourself to interest local or regional or national coverage, or you can hire a p/r person. They should know how to generate big multiples of their fee within exposure. (In other words, for every $1000 of fee, they should be capable of get you $3000 to $10,000 of free exposure if you estimate what the same exposure would enjoy cost you in compensated advertising.)
Join a business group. There are several variation of the idea, small business inhabitants get together for breakfast on a regular reason, trade business cards and network among themselves.
Put a row listing within the local phone book.
Offer your product or service to local charities for them to auction for fund-raisers. They will advertise your company among society with disposible income.
Start a blog giving warning that leads to your merchandise and services, and establishes you as an expert whatever-you-do.
Partner with complementary businesses. For instance a rug store contained by my town has a few pieces of furniture only to show how it will look with the rugs. The furniture come from another local store and is on loan. There is a huge framed ad on a table axiom the furniture came from nearby. At the furniture store are a few rugs from the first store with another framed advert for the rug store. Both change out stock every month or so.
There is also a restaurant that have special breads made by a well set local bakery. There is a sign at the front of the restaurant saying so. At the bakery is a sign suggesting the restaurant for catering.
Once you really start to deem about it, you should be capable of come up with more planning. The trick is finding ideas that are forceful, but don't require a lot of your time to implement.
Try walking up and down the High Street near a sandwich board.
run about town with nothing on with a megaphone

Put an advert surrounded by the free press.....
Whats the company called?

After you put it on here, that's free promotion! Mick
you should have mentioned the company within your question. never miss an opportunity no business how small
make flyers and concrete early surrounded by the morning go to adjectives the free magazine stands and place the flyer in those for the those throughout the day to find.....okay so not free but its really cheap
Phone your local radio station when its widen for callers to procure on air.....Then tell about your company.
Another road would be to write it on your forehead and walk almost for a day.
I must allow to being a bit confused by your motives here! Does your company hold out a FREE service or product ? If you want to advertise, you must seriously want to 'profit' from what ever it is you want to hype.!! It strikes me you have a principal problem as far as gaining as a opppossed to giving is concerned. I enjoy a fantastic IDEA after 25 years experience in Marketing, but why should I GIVE up that skill without any likelyhood of GAINing from it .?

Question:

Answer:
Check out Figure 4 of this report from Doubleclick -- they compared the click through rates of the various want ad formats including the leaderboard though they presented the results as an index (and not as a percentage) http://www.doubleclick.com/us/knowledge_...

Compared to the full standard banner 468x60 (CTR indexed at 100), leaderboards perform twice as better (indexed at 200)
I think that depends on the product human being advertised.
No averages.

it depends on the product, where on earth the banner is, (ie, relevancy and authority of the host site), how effectual the banner personal ad is in vocabulary of look and appeal, (colours, fonts, graphics etc).

The golden rule in Internet Marketing is Test, Test, Test.
it totally depends on the "quality" of you site as judge by the ad provider

Is the Marketing Buisness base on Commission?

Question:

Answer:
There are various ways to settle marketing services. For example, fix rates - rates per person/hour - are applicable when conducting surveys, moderating focus groups, making corporate logo, launching website and adjectives bunch of other things that are pretty standard and can be measured in hours per duty done. Almost any marketing agency will provide you with their rates minus obligation on clients side to share portion of the future profit, which is in truth the base for commissions.
Affiliate marketing/advertising equally is solely based on commissions because this is the most convenient and 'justified' agency for affiliates to get compensated. If the person who have visited your website and purchases the book that you promote as Amazon's affiliate, you'll get hold of your 10% commission as if you have done marketing service for Amazon.
And in that are also various ways surrounded by between the two ends, but it all depends on the negotiation skills of the marketer and the client.
Every company is different. I am within an affiliate program with an internet company. They pay envelope you commission for signing on new customers. Some companies are scams- check them out.
If you can build trust on you business relationship.. why not ?
It is not smooth to track the leads for online marketing companies especially if a prospect client call the phone #...

In lay down to become successful, do well surrounded by school, do as plentiful internships in as several different types of PR as possible (non profit, corporate, agency, health protection, etc). Also, meet as several people as possible. Get adjectives of their cards and keep contained by touch with them. They will be your ticket to job in the adjectives.

How did the G00GLE guy variety his own flush engine?

Question:
How did he put all the info surrounded by there?

Answer:
he go to college instead off asking how to create a search engine on RunEye.com
He bookish to program and designed a new rummage through algorithm while he was within college. Info on G's search algorithms are available on their website.
Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page built the G00GLE query engine and you can read a description of exactly how it was done surrounded by their original composition "The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine" http://infolab.stanford.edu/~backrub/goo...
If there would be a simple answer, afterwards it would be easy to invent the "subsequent big thing". But it's not! Inventing the next big article means plentifully of hard work; profoundly of drive; being at the right location the right time; and later, having the brains (and education) to implement your *original* view. In the case of Larry Page & Sergey Brin, the inventive idea be to analyze the web's link structure, counting links as "votes", to come up beside PageRank. The G00GLE founders even tried to sell their opinion to the big search engines of the year, back contained by the 1990s, but practically no one thought the theory was a) influential and b) commercial. Not even the G00GLE guys knew freshly *how* commercial it would be, because they didn't "discover" related text ad until much later within the game!

Here's a quote from Eric Schmidt, G00GLE's CEO, that illustrate what it means to be an inventor:

"Yeah, it’s funny that every classmates thinks that they’ve invented cold fusion... but every previous social group did too. And one of the rules about innovation is that it’s a constant process. The innovators today are not *different* -- they’re merely innovators now, as unwilling innovators from 10 years ago, or probably 100 years ago. In watching old BBC movies roughly speaking England in the postponed 1900s/ early 1900s, you enjoy to imagine what it designed to be an innovator, when roads and gaslights and electricity and so forth were one invented. It’s the same soul, it’s the same type, it’s like peas in a pod economic sense of leverage, it’s duplicate *passion* that drives innovators. The Valley is fortunate that these cycles are almost perpetual here, and innovators are drawn to both the culture, and I think the right weather..."
