There is a actual art to a good PowerPoint presentation. Here are a few tips I hold learned over the years:
1. If the presentation is going to be projected on a peak, you want to use a dark situation with table lamp lettering. If you project a presentation with a restrained background, it can drastically glaring and hard on the eyes.
2. Do not read from the slides. Everyone contained by the room can read. There is no need to put your foot thru a verbatim rendition of what is shown on the slides.
3. Control the focus and attention of the presentation. You want everyone to be paying attention to one and the same thing at alike time. For example, if you have a bullet chronicle, only reveal one chain at a time so everyone stays together.
4. Use animation sparingly. Spinning and twirling of images get old surrounded by a hurry. You can only really accentuate a few things during a presentation. If you use fancy animation for everything, how do you show up what is really important?
5. From an enriching standpoint, use words sparingly on the slide. Just list the push button concepts in phrases. You can crawl in the details next to your own explanations as you talk in the region of each slide.
