My fiance had his first interview beside a potential employer last Wednesday. By Friday, they call to schedule the second interview for today at 2:30 p.m. We know that they narrowed it down to two general public. My fiance and another gentleman. We are pretty convinced that my fiance is the second person today. Is this a apposite thing? How recurrently do they offer you the work on the spot during the second interview? (this is a professional/supervisory position in engineer/automation for a clean product line)
Answers: I'm no expert but I would think they wouldn't tender on the spot - if they don't make sure he get a thank you card out in the e-mail today thanking them for the opportunity to interview. He should include why he feel like he is a suitable fit for this company. Not too wordy, but it you have two candidate and you are rolling them over in your mind and one brings himself subsidise to the front of your mind with the thank you card - it is a plus.

Sometimes they will volunteer you the job on the spot, but not other. The fact that he is second probably have more to do with the HR person's agenda than if he was the top choice. Make sure to save the same height of professionalism shown at the first interview, and never assume this is just a formality. If he doesn't draw from the job, but still requirements to work there, own him write a letter to them every two weeks or so. Lots of times something doesn't work out next to the first person hired, and even if that isn't the casing, a more suitable position might open, and by sending parcels, he keeps himself on the radar.
