thats where on earth I might go and work when I am 16.
16 yr olds honestly are too childlike and immature to enjoy a job. Good luck tryign to achieve one, people don't really want to hire childish "kids", they want the older mroe fully developed and responsible people workign for them.

Try getting a babysitting see, cleaning for people, doing courtyard, house sitting, takign care of someone's pets, etc... That's the description fo job for a 16 yr out-of-date!
Think ahead -- if you want to go to college, what sensitive of skills would be useful?

Teamwork -- working next to other members of a group
Client service -- working beside clients to ensure a good experience
Operations -- study how a business works
Skills -- learning computer skills, accounting, landscape, etc.

I'd suggest finding something in retail (e.g. the GAP), working beside kids/elderly, or a small business setting.

If you have relatives near a business, ask if you can help them to gain experience. They may be more predictable to hire you.

Also, you can look for internship experiences. Perhaps your high university guidance office have info.

You could refer to it as individual a "Store Associate" or a "clerk" or if you only use the currency register, you would be a cashier, or if you just stock shelves you would be a "stocker" or "floor associate"

Holiday mess up!?

I wondered if anyone had any counsel? I am leaving my post in a few days and my director informed I had holiday vanished to take. I took it and afterwards upon my return she told that actually she'd made a mistake - I be not actually due any extra holiday. I am in consequence losing my pay for this daylight. I do not believe this is right. However, she tells me HR will purely tell me I should own checked my contract and it's my fault. In a bit of a predicament and remarkably unhappy! What can I do?


Answers: Your governor is at fault.
Ask for the event to be settled before you walk out your job or you will lug the company to a tribunal.
To do this you will have to write them a memorandum explaining the situation and give them 28 days to reply.
This is your superior trying to cover their mistake.
Stand up for yourself and the company will pay you what is due.
i would complain to the boss AND HR - it be her responsibility to get the facts right up to that time she told you to take time of.

it even sounds close to she may have said what she did in the order of HR specifically to prevent you from going to them. Do it. It isn't going to hurt you if they say you should hold checked the contract.

In broad, it is a Manager's responsibility to calculate their staff's annual go away allowance. If she told you you had a morning to take, next it's her fault if you didn't hold the day to embezzle.

I would go and speak to HR yourself to find out what they say aloud. I can assure you that they WON'T say that you should own checked your contract - your contract will tell you how heaps days you are allowed per year, but it's not a friggin' spreadsheet which can tell you how much you've already taken and how much you own left.

So, run and see HR and if you get nowhere here, then stir and see your Manager's Manager. She *** up and is now trying to catch you to keep dormant about it. Even if you shutting down up not getting the pay within the end, at lowest you can let everyone know that she *** up.
Sorry Dear is adjectives your fault. It is a lesson to swot up as well. when your Manager told you, you enjoy a left holiday to lug. you could have confirm previously going for the holiday. All the same pinch heart and forget the pay. Just try and swot up your lesson
