Take a profession as a server at Olive Garden or Universal Studios Orlando?

Hey, I got two interviews coming up. One at an Olive Garden contained by a busy touristy area of Orlando. The second one is at Universal Studios Orlando. Both as a server. I be wondering which one I should pick? I have no hypothesis which restaurant would make better tips. (I hold no idea which restaurant they would put me contained by at USO).

Anyone have any experiences or erudition of server averages at these restaurants? Any recommendations?

Answers: They're both surrounded by a really touristy area, so you'd probably do resourcefully at either one. You can other start at one and see if you like it; those types of restaurants tend to enjoy a lot of turnover, so you can probably capture hired at a later time.

You can other come out to Cocoa Beach in the summer, that's when adjectives the party populace come out and get drunk and spend adjectives their money :)
Being a former employee of Universal within the Food Service department - and since you don't know 'where' you will be working.., I'd be hesitant. If you're at a full-service venue such as Finnegan's or Lombard's, I'd say-so great - but if you're at a self-service venue - like La Bamba or Mel's - and you'd be cleaning table, watch out. Also - hang on to in mind that Universal is uncap ALL THE TIME. You'll be expected to work various hours throughout the entire year.

I'd vote for Olive Garden contained by a tourist area.
Olive Garden everytime as worthy italian food is a lot better than a burger block table clearer.

What does 'working knowledge" penny-pinching near regard to a hi-tech work?

e.g - working knowledge of window 2000 or java, how proficient do you need to be to say aloud that you have working culture of it?

thanks

Answers: the familiarity that you have would see you to actually accomplish the job function. Not - I took a class on network, but like you hold actually used your CCNA or network skills. Usually skills assessment will determine what your working knowledge is - contained by months or years and at what level. Hubby took a Java class surrounded by school, but did not in actual fact use it at work. So when he changed jobs, on his resume, he put Java but put contained by parenthesis next to it that it be college experience and not working experience.
Enough familiarity that you wouldn't need training. In other words, you might not know everything more or less the software, but you know enough of the details that you could do all of the original stuff, and fill within the things you don't know by checking the manual on your own.

If you don't own a working knowledge, that scheme you're so inexperienced that you wouldn't even know where to open.
I always buried it to mean that you own a good grasp on the ground rules of the software or programming language AND that you currently use or enjoy used the software frequently within the end 12 months.
