Should I be bothered by what my overseer is doing?
My company has a policy that you own to be in the department for a year up to that time you can transfer out. I own worked here for 4.5 years in 2 departments. I get moved to this department even though I did not want to and when I came over here they initially told me it be only tempary and that they would not hold me to 12 month rule. I still go the 12 months but now my proprietor won't let me verbs out. He says he can't afford to lose me because he a moment ago lost someone else and that I have to be contained by the department for 18-24 before he agree to anyone out. How can his rule trump the company policies??Also the position I want makes $3/hr more afterwards my current one. I have solely gotten $1 in raise over the last 4.5 years when within the paper the supply for the replacement says they start at $9-11 an hour. How can they start untried employees out at more money consequently what some of the tenured employees brand name? Is this normal business nouns? Just curious thanks!
Answers: Your representative is short-sighted. Most good manager know that it is better to retain a good hand within the company than to hold them hostage until they move for greener pastures.
If you own an HR department, you may want to speak to someone there to ask if in that is a way you can apply for this other career. (While you're there, ask roughly speaking your raise!) Otherwise, find another employment and submit your resignation - this manager isn't going to do your occupation any favors.

I want to send a resume to a company surrounded by my field. However within isn't a specific job that I'm aplying to. I'm not exactly sure how I should start it. Typically I start my cover packages with I'm applying for so and so.and plainly that will not work this time around.Answers: Something to the effect of: I am interested in erudition more about occupation opportunities at your company, and would close to the opportunity to interview for any open positions for which I might be qualified.
You may want to tweak the wording a bit, but something similar to that should work for you.
